Marie and Frank were very grumpy and always bickering, Robert and Amy were the exact opposite and always tried to be as positive as usual to each other, and Ray and Debra were in between. I STILL love watching this show, even after iut's been on the air so long... It just hits the nail on the head so PERFECTLY, and all the characters--Ray and Debra, Robert and Amy, DEFINITELY Frank and Marie, and then all the secondary characters like Ray's writing pals, Gianni, Frank's lodge friends, Robert's partner and ex-girlfriend from Italy Stephana--are just so believable and hilarious! ELR is the "I Love Lucy" of our time should have the same fate--to be in reruns forever and never die!

Yeah I love that episode. The moment when Robert realises that maybe it's not meant to be for him is so sad. Even Franks stops joking and calls out to him before he leaves. Makes me tear up every time. And then the Amy reveal is just perfect at the end.

I love this! Amy is SO sweet and so good for Robert-they are perfectly suited! And the in-laws etc.-it all worked. I'm surprised this was so early-Season one episode 14. It's so funny too when Marie does something awful and you see the shocked expression on Amy's face-although Marie was generally nicer to Amy than Debra.
