Everybody's Golf 2 / Hot Shots Golf 2 : Spread Your Wings , Albatross Shot

Hi Legends,
Here is a little guide to show how to make the albatross shot for Spread Your Wings trophy for Everyone's golf 2, also know as Hot Shots 2.
Hope it helps everyone in the quest for the platinum.

An important tip that many players might not be aware of is that every shot is slightly random. However, if you rewind, the shot is hit the same way. So if you find yourself in a spot where you're hitting the flag or the ball is rolling millimeters wide of the cup, let the animation finish and press retry instead of rewinding. This way the shot will be slightly different, and it'll most likely go in eventually after retrying enough times.

thanks for this tip - I was repeatedly rewinding and having no luck, but after switching to 'retry' I got it within a dozen hits

100+ times doing this, and each time millimeters off, about 25 times the ball ending in the exact same spot. I hate this so goddamn much

make that 300+ I got it using this exact method in the video, it works but my god the RNG and sheer toll it takes on your patience.

The spread your wings/albatross trophy in hot shot golf 2 is the most difficult trophy to get, it took me about alots of attempts to get it, but i finally got the albatross trophy, and also I got the superior golfer platinum trophy on both ps4 and PS5.😄🙏

I cant get this to work. I follow the step perfectly but my first shot never lands 208 from the hole. Its always more like 203 or 204

There is an awful RNG element to the shots in Everybody’s Golf 2 that does make the albatross shot a bit annoying. If you get the shot to the 204 still try the follow up shot. Remember to let the shot play out and select to reshoot and not rewind, as rewinding will just repeat the same action for the ball. If on the second shot you hit the flag or get it close repeat the same shot again and the ball will go in. The shot I shown was the one I was able to repeat most consistently and achieved the trophy with it on both versions, but sadly it can still be annoying with the RNG elements.

The footage and shot was done on the PS5 version. Was able to repeat in on the PS4 version as well. The hardest part for the albatross shot is that there is a “random movement” mechanic on the shots. So on the second shot if you get it near or hit the flag of the hole don’t rewind just let the shot play out then do the reshot/replay function that you get on the practice mode.

What is highest number of total tournament points you have ever heard of? Because I think I've set a record, but I can't verify. Using the character Chip, I have gotten over a million tournament points ( using the same memory card for the last 20 years) How can I finds the records for HSG2. ???

That’s an amazing score, and the highest I’ve ever heard of. Not sure if there is any official records for the game as never heard of any. Might be an idea to see if there is a Hot Shots or Everbody’s Golf 2 (as was called different things in different regions) sub Reddit and see if anyone in the community knows more about any official records.

For those who wanna a second way (maybe easier) The same hole, but with Sam, than use the Beginner Club The first shot right in the middle ( use wind to go further) In the second shot set the wind to east 6m and the most important : 3W Just keep trying and you will see it will come sooner or later, it took me 1hr and 40min

Thank you for providing an alternative method for people, I do hate the random element that is in this game with the ball roll and flight. The shot we showed was the one we were able to repeat the most consistently after making, and got us the trophy on both versions. But helping people have multiple methods will hopefully help them to make the shot. Thank you

Thanks for the effort, but I just can't do it on this course... This is a really bad trophy to put in an ancient game like this that has digital aiming controls.

Yeah it’s a very hard trophy to get. I managed to repeat this shot a few times which is why it became our guide. Was upset there wasn’t a course like on the first game where we could just hit it over the hill to get on the green in one shot.

I got it on this course with the same character, same club and ball, my first shot was stronger than yours, so the second shot was closer to the flag, I used the same wind conditions you said to use for the first shot, and just did a perfect shot with a 4W club without using a power shot (210 yards), aiming reticle just right side of flag. My reticle was always slightly more right than yours after the first shot, even when I got the exact same distance you got in the vid. Hope my comment helps somebody who's struggling here.

Easy ish hole to do it on is the first course like hole 15 I think it was, Sam character put wind forward 18mph the full swing to the right of fairway over the trees then turn wind north east 2mph power shot like a 180 swing straight at flag and the slope of the lie and green to mine in took a few attempts tweaking start point and power, and actually got it when I thought I'd messed up power and skipped the shit and it popped up saying albatross and no replay 😂😂 but I'll take that plat

cheers for providing advice for others. We showed this shot and how we did it as was able to repeat it a few times, achieving the Platinum for both the PS5 and PS4 versions. Will say I preferred the first Hot Shots Golf game where it was a lot easier to get the trophies, this one was frustrating at times.

Hi Dany, This is a hard shot but is doable as was able to get both the PS5 and PS4 trophies making this shot. Sadly I do not offer viewers help through shareplay. If you are struggling, as I do know the aiming in this game is not the best at getting it pixel perfect, just take a bit of time away then come back as it can become frustrating at times.

I can’t get the flag at the same location on the course as in your video. It is to the right on mine. I loaded in and out multiple times. Any tips?

Hello, it is a pain that the flag does keep moving when loading in the course to obtain one in the same location as we have, when I did it to get the trophy on the PS4 version after getting it on the PS5 one (shown in video) it took me a few reloads, around 10/15 ish I think, in order to get the flag where I had it for this shot. As trophies go this is not a kind one to achieve especially for an old title like this. Hope you get the trophy soon though, as I did get very frustrated when getting this one and finding shots I could repeat a few times. If this is the only trophy you have left and you haven't unlocked everything but want everything to try for it, start a new game on a new save file and name it 2GSH and it should unlock everything in the game for you to hopefully make shots easier.

@@NoLongerExisting1 Hello, I "Hole Out" then re-entered the course until the flag was on the left side. This is a very hard shot to do as every shot has a slight random roll element, so if you find yourself close to the hole and it is not going in, let the animation play out and hit retry instead of rewinding. This last tip was found by Sidewalk1986 and might be of help. As the shot is hard to get pixel perfect with the controls.

Hello, to unlock the characters in Hot Shots Golf 2 you need to beat them in the verse mode, after you beat the ones you haven’t got in a row the row above will become available. Alternatively there is a way You can unlock all course and characters by starting a new game save in an empty file and calling it 2GSH. I do not know if unlocking with the code gets the trophies as I unlocked them via the verses mode. Hope this helps.

Ok that’s good to know it doesn’t give the trophies for inputting the code. Ok to play the verses mode and unlock the characters, make sure it’s a safe file where the characters are not unlocked (so not the one which you’ve put the code in, but keep that one to get shot trophies as won’t need to unlock courses then). When you start the game first go to the section called GAME, on the next page go to the section called VS. (It will be the second option on the right). Select the character you are going to play as (at start only 3 options) then select one of the characters you haven’t unlocked as your opponent (as the row above will show pictures to select as well). After you beat the character you will unlock them for you to select for yourself. After you unlock a row the row above will become available to play against.
