If you want to know the official timeline, Powder was 9 when her parents died, then had Vander looking out for her for 2 years, making her 11 by the end of the first episode. Then Silco raised her for 7 years after episode 3, meaning that the time Silco was her dad was 3.5 times longer than the amount of time Vander was her dad. As for Vi, as I recall, she was 14 when her parents died, making her 16 when Vander died, and 23 after the time skip. Also, as much as you might hate on Silco, he saw himself in Powder at the end of episode 3 and has been trying to raise her to the best of his ability ever since then. Dude's messed up, but he genuinely cares about Jinx.

What makes both Mel and Silco so dangerous is that yes, they are manipulating Jayce and Jinx, but they also genuinely believe in what they're saying. That kind of sincerity reaches people and pulls them in, especially the inexperienced (Jayce) and mentally unwell (Jinx). Yeah, Jinx is actually frighteningly intelligent. She might even have the edge over Jayce and Viktor; they had materials, resources, education, etc. Jinx has whatever little she can scrounge together and learn herself, yet with the help of a single notebook, she was able to crack hextech.

If you think Silco is doing something wrong with Jinx, I invite you to watch the series again and analyse it further. What Silco does in the lake, in a somewhat metaphorical way, is to make her abandon the name that torments her so much. The name Powder only brings her pain, agony, and with it she deals with the many trauma and mental illnesses that she has on her back. Silco was the only person who gave her pure recognition after Vi, even in that scene at the lake he tries to help her with her pain, because he turned Jinx's name into something good, not a word that denigrates. Silco was as good a father to Jinx as Vander was to Vi, and maybe not in the best way, but he always loved her and took her in as his daughter, and the little mental stability can only be attributed to Silco, which you will see in future chapters, how he cares for her, don't be so superficial.

We don't have an accurate timeline because Riot is really accurate with their lore and really messy with their dates and timelines. It's been "about 10 years", that's the best you're probably gonna get. Even if we had a confirmed time of these events from one characters perspective, that wouldn't make it accurate for other characters. That's the complicated part about League of Legends lore. Just say, "about 10 years"...

To better get into context at a chronological level by age, we know that Vi was between 15 or 16 years old when she separated from Powder and she was around 9 or 10, what we know about Jace is that he was 24 years old and the jump is approximately about 6 or 7 years old because Jinx is 16 told by the creators of the series it would be a spoiler if I reveal something about the game since in my opinion they took their liberties regarding the ages of some characters. what we see so far is that Victor claims Jace because the so-called progress is only in the hands of the rich in Piltober and still nothing reaches the suburban district where he grew up, Jace who now has more responsibilities and discovers corruption in high places and as the title says "everyone wants to be my enemy" must be attached to the corruption behind the scenes behind the back of her deteriorating colleague and her teacher who was there with his eyes closed, councilwoman Mel Medarda makes use of all her weapons and She guides him where she wants while she delights him with "passion" but maybe this will change since she woke up without her man and this could be a step backwards. Jinx who obtained the gem is about to make use of it but the ghosts of the past persecute her while Silco performs a drowning ritual to complete Jinx's baptism leaving Powder behind. Caitlin decides to cross the line in a physical and metaphorical way by making an alliance with a recluse who ruined her only clue, Vi saw in front of a person who represents what I hate the most since she lost her parents, she sees a clue that her sister left behind and with an uncomfortable A partner takes her around the district but with another goal in mind and Savika became her goal to discover that Silco ended up adopting Powder, which hurt as much as the stab itself, if it were not for that enforcer, her search would have ended. Now Silco with the news of the sister who is alive sees his plans to turn the power of the gem into weapons very complicated when he believed that his ritual had worked.

Mel was so disrespected by everyone watching the first half of the series then when you find out about her everybody all “oh I didn’t know she does mean well she has experienced this”.
