Welcome back, Matilda! I love the CT Eyes to Mesmerize formula but I wish she would add truly cool toned shades. Her entire line leans very warm and as a pale vampire, I've always avoided warm tones because they make me look sick.

Oyster Pearl is actually what made me fall in love with the formula but unfortunately, it's very gold on me. I have a cool undertone so combine that with my glow in the dark skintone and even shades described as neutral pull quite warm. The ND Glam palette was hailed as the ultimate cool toned color story but on me, it has a few pops of truly cool and neutral shades and the rest were too warm.

A tip for the cle de peau concealer/any type of twist up makeup: I ask the staff at Mecca for those little containers they give out foundation samples in and depot the rest of my concealer with the back end of my tweezer. You will be surprised how much product is left and it’s a perfect little container for travel or on the go!

I concentrate on spf (as always, all seasons), minimal base, powder, lots of mascara, some long-wearing eyepencils, berry and scarlet blushes and either black honey or something like it on the lips.

Love CT eyes to mesmerize! Especially in Oyster Pearl and Amber Gold. They’re expensive, but will last a while. Great as a stand-alone shadow (I do use an eyeshadow primer before bc I have hooded eyes) or base underneath powder shadows (love pairing them with Natasha Denona shadows).

Hooray! A Matilda video! Glad you are feeling better. Been rewatching spring look content here in the PNW of USA and the go to products are Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue in Vanilla 02, ELF putty blushes and bronzer, Juvia's Place six pan pallets in nudes, with berries as eyeliners, or Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Intense Amethyst, with an extra eyeliner from Fenty Flyliner in In Big Truffle. Mascara is always black, but I have auditioning minis from Benefit, Ilia, Milk, Too Faced, and Tarte. Pretty sure the one I really want it the Rare Beauty one, though. Trying to do more pinks now, Rare Beauty Nearly Rose liquid shadow is a perfect base for a fast morning routine with the Fenty and black mascara. Trying to low buy just now, so I can use up some stuff from last year before it goes bad. Neutrals with pinks. I'll be watching Insta for hints on brush cleaning!

Welcome back Matilda! Hope the break was revitalizing for you. Always important to take a break from work. Wondering how often you change out your daily makeup bag and which items you change? I am a seasonal color gal for sure. I find my light/ light to medium olive skin tone to get along with many colors as long as they are pigmented enough. No super light pastels for me as they look grayish. My most loved products are cream and liquid blushes. I have over 50 singles. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I love the CT lip/cheek color you showed today! The rare beauty under eye brightened is wonderful but a much thinner consistency than the Chanel. I can’t wait for the new Rare beauty new cheek colors and lip oils coming out soon!

But certain elements often stay the same for weeks or even months at a time if I'm really enjoying them (concealer, base, everyday shadow shades and mascara maybe). Matilda, I stumbled across your channel last summer because I wanted to experiment with wearing makeup, and I've been hooked ever since! Love some other beauty channels, but yours is the best because of your unique format. Always glad to rewatch your old videos and (re)discover new brands and products. Question: is the Trinny London BFF cream scented (sadly the By Terry Brightening CC Serum's scent is too strong for my sensitive skin)? Glad you took time off for you and thanks for all you do! Everyday products include Tower 28's tinted sunscreen, Cle de Peau's concealer stick, various blushes (current faves are No. 1 de Chanel lip & cheek balm in wakeup pink and Ilia's multistick in All of Me), and Em Cosmetics sculpting brow cream. As for the Charlotte Tilbury cap--maybe a rubber band, even though it won't look pretty 😂

I love the sound of your fresh faced routine with those products 👏 Yes, the Trinny BFF Cream does include fragrance - I don't find it as strong as the BY TERRY scent but it's probably a floral meets cosmetic sort of smell? The brand might be able to share more details if you reach out to them, as I couldn't see much information about the fragrance on their website for you x

For the Chanel face pen dupe, I'd look towards Sisley-Paris' Stylo Lumiere. Though the applicator is different (a cushion rather than brush-like bristles), I find the formula to be quite similar but surprisingly with a better finish than Touché Eclat!
