Batwoman will be premiered on Saturday (Rather than tomorrow) in place of an EFAP - We're still not sure when we're starting up episode 101 and we are getting all of the 100 superchats responded to and then uploaded - It's defo gonna exceed the stream cap. The majority of the Episode 100 shenanigans are all uploaded now! thanks for watching and EFAP shall indeed return soon enough...

14:40 That, over there, is a famous Russian singer. Famous and... well, I assume _expensive_ This movie had a budget of 2 million dollars. That's not a lot. That's not a lot, period, but, also, that's _really_ not a lot for an action movie. To be blowing some of that money away on an expensive actor, whose only job is to scream at the camera for a bit... that's... that's amazing, in a way.

@calemr
@calemr 4 жыл бұрын
Kinda bugged me how often Mauler went "This is like a video game." Yeah. That's the point. Even the main villains plan is drawn from that concept. Indoctrinate an army of super soldiers by creating a scenario that makes them believe they love that girl, by just going "She is your girlfriend, now go save her." Like so many early games have done. Double Dragon springs to mind. That's why she says that line at the end, she wants the main character to save her because of his conditioning. I mean, it's not as bad as Nostalgia Critic spending the whole of Last Action Hero complaining about how cliche it is, 'Cause at least Mauler rolled with it. But it still feels that he sorta missed the point.

That's the thing, it doesn't even really qualify as "bad" because the style is so unique to itself. The story is empty? That doesn't really matter because it is so focused on the frantic pacing. CGI explosions? Not everything works as planned and it's damn near impossible to fix one take.

The robot head is cgi at the beginning because it was the directors toy from his childhood and he didn’t want to destroy it as it was the only one they had.

I like Hardcore Henry, it just feels like a cheaper version of Crank! High Voltage Which is INSANE and you should watch if you haven't MauLer

@@Ramsey276one so while crank isnt First person it was the first to do the "Zany action movie with a near indestructible hero who has to do weird action thing to keep from dying (pulling out the dudes hearts and replacing his power cells. Crank has Stathem doing lethal shit to keep his battery powered heart pumping)" I think the general tone is the same as well as the over the top goofy (and bad) story that only exists to add a context to the action

One of my favorite movies ever. Just a wild fun ride that knows exactly what it is trying to do and does it well. Also that fight scene at the very end (when Freddy mercury) comes in is one of the best fight scenes in any movie I have ever scene.

First movie I'd been looking forward to in years. Much like Team America, it was what it was from beginning to end. Did not disappoint. All time great Saturday afternoon movie. Right next to Smokey and the Bandit and Commando.
