I used to own this car. Recently lost it due to an accident. Drove beautifully in most weather and got amazing gas mileage. I was tboned while in this car and it kept me and my passenger safe despite it being a high speed collision accident. Definitely would still recommend this car for years 2015 and up.

Really as a private tour guide, it's the best car I drove till now. Doesn't consume alot very economic, the backseats are very comfortable and 3 people can fit so easily. Driving it also smooth. U will love every minute of it

I have a 2014 with 280000 Miles and going strong averages 40 miles a gallon just routine maintenance probably buy another one next year when this one hits 320

I'm sitting here, waiting on a call back from a dealer for this exact vehicle. I love the way it handles in the video. When I told my husband that I was looking at this he was like, why manual? I said, do you really want to raise your son to not know how to drive a stick? (he's 16) Hubbie was like, oooooooh, burn! Okay, a stick is fine. :D I know you told people to look around as far as fuel economy, but I think this will be good enough, and my 'out the door' cost for this model is $12,105.49, which is mighty fine. :D

@@HomeWrecknKneeKnockr clutch is solid 140k, of course it depends on driver for any car. Timing belt is a chain, so never a problem. Serpentine belt I got changed at 120k, little earlier than recommend even though e showed no ware. Engine is a little bit noisier than new but not due to any muffler issues. I had a leak at the axle seal and think it made my gearbox a little bit noisier due to wear before I fixed the seal.

i have a chance to rent a note($60) or a fusion($100)...the price difference is $40..i'm only going to need it for 4 days in austin, tx to visit my cousin...looks like this will be a good fit especially driving around downtown and trying to park in tight spaces. Seems like a fun car to drive. We will also try to explore outside the city as well. Thanks for the review, dave.

***** thanks for asking...i had it nov 6-9 through my costco discount at alamo at austin airport. check in was easy etc...but anyway...the car was brilliant...i used it during the day and uber at night because of the traffic/parking issues in downtown austin. it was nimble and comfy for what i was asking for, especially for the price I was given. I would rent it again. i had no problems/issues with it. gas mileage was great, and was not expensive to fill back up when returning to the airport for drop off. for a family of lets say 4 people, i would prob opt for a full size sedan but for 1-3 people, it was perfect.

The UK & Ireland version of this car, for the 1.5 Diesel shows a complete different story on economy, They use The French Renault engine and the Economy & performance Fuel consumption (urban)65.7 mpg Fuel consumption (extra urban)88.3 mpg Fuel consumption (combined)78.5 mpg

It understeers badly, too. The manual door locks are squirrely, and will stick (or worse) if not lubricated often. I bought the 'S' model (2015) in Feb. 2016. I only have 12k miles on it. So far, it's been a reliable car. I get a little over 30 mpg overall. Don't like the CVT transmission. It's sluggish if you want to accelerate quickly. It's really good for street driving. Won't win any drag races with it.

In my 2014 under steering isn't a problem.. you may want to add tire psi. That helps with steering.. Also mine has electric power steering that changes to under steering at speed to under steer for better highway driving.,

i highly dont recommend this car if you live in an area where it snows alot or some, Its been a harsh winter here in Pittsburgh Pa and this thing is slipping and sliding up bunny hills, the traction control comes on and i feel makes it worse. other than that its decent.

PSA: with ALL Nissan CVT vehicles make sure to change the CVT transmission fluid EVERY 30k miles or your investment will be junk.

Yah. The repair guys won't tell ya that though. In my experience ( transmission issues since 7500 mile) I was told "that's just the way CVT's sound, run, etc."...Then, after the warranty runs out, they tell me "oh, it's your transmission."

The doors are right on you like the Insight. You can see how Dave was leaning away from the doors wanting armrests and a wider seat. 2nd row is insane. Headroom is awesome. The 2nd row does not fold flat. Get a Fit LX if you are looking for cheap.

The 2nd row does fold flat if you lift the divide n hide trim in the back to the level of the seat. The floor piece is multipurpose. Armrest comes as an accessory from Nissan. And no if you want a cheap sub compact, get the Versa Sedan with manual for 11990 plus 820 shipping instead of a Fit LX manual starting at 15525 plus 820 destination. With every respect to Honda, the Fit is purposely built but I can assure you cost isn't its forte.

Kou Lee True but Divide-N-Hide is a $690 convenience package on the SV trim, $660 on the SR trim, and standard on the SL. You can add one yourself for $190 on eBay. I sat in the Versa & Versa Note, head a foot room were great but the freaking doors are right on you. The armrest on the Fit is a joke.

Would pay the extra money for the Fit. Much better quality and features, and will hold its resale value better too. A lot of these Versa note's are being used for rental fleets which will dramatically lower their resale value in the future.

This car itself is amazing, but the downfall is that Nissan uses cheap products and cheap set ups that cause the interior features to malfunction on a consistent basis. I've owned my baby for two years now, the upgraded SL model with the tech package (navigation and back up cam) but honestly...I've grown irritated with it. I should have spent more money to buy the Fit because Honda has an excellent track record with interior products and materials. Just today, my air flow control knob became stuck in the "face/feet" mode and I can't fix it. And I'm on my third radio. Nissan is, by far, the most subpar car company I've ever dealt with. BUT drives amazing, has excellent storage and leg space, and looks absolutely amazing.

Fun fact: In Washington State your hands should actually between 8 & 9 o'clock, and 3 & 4 o'clock for you left and right hands respectively. Weird huh?

I think that is most states now, and certainly the recommendation of most manufacturers as well. This is specifically for air-bag deployment, so it doesnt launch your hands into the roof and break them, by forcing your elbow the wrong direction. Where as at the lower half of the steering wheel, your arms will naturally fold into your lap on airbag deployment.

You should do a web search for residual air-bag injury studies, and read up on some of the work that has been done to mitigate secondary air-bag deployment injuries. From hand position, to changing the way the airbag is folded to alter its deployment, and even how the explosive charge burns. On down to even repositioning the vent holes on the air-bag to prevent burns to the hand and wrist. The level of scrutiny that has gone into the studies, in the US the UK, and the EU, is downright mind bogging, but just as equally fascinating.

You failed to mention the horrible cvt transmission. Bought my 2015 5 months later at 56k I'm sitting in the shop getting a new one lucky for me I was smart enough to get the warranty, you also forgot to mention even with new or rebuilt I'm going to have the same issue in another 50 or 60k. Nissan has faced law suits over this, wish I was aware at time of purchase!

Do you change your transmission fluid and filter every 30,000 miles? Do you drop the pan and clean the pan of shavings and replace the screen? Do you change the oil and filter every 3,000 miles? Many videos say the transmission will last if you take care of it. If you don't, it won't.

CVT transmissions s u c k. Also, in the 2015 Note, the USB port and cigarette "plug" are right next to the drink holders between the seats. So the drinks spilling or "sweating" sends fluid into the electrical openings.
