you don't need a strymon for a shimmer effect. i have a neunaber blank slate loaded with the seraphim. you can load any neunaber pedal onto that one though, so well worth the price. around a 150 bucks. and it is small.

After messing with this in Logic... for the pitch I used AUPitch under the Apple menu cause Pitch Shifter in the Pitch menu really didn’t sound right and added some kind of weird extra delay that was not at all pleasing. I also played with different delays. I tried Stereo Delay first, but that didn’t give as much shimmer, I think maybe AUPitch is meant to run mono, not sure. Tape Delay worked great. I also tried ChromaVerb and that didn’t work great with the default I chose, maybe cause of pre-delay, so I switched to Space Designer. Here’s a link to a screenshot and diagram with my settings: www.dropbox.com/s/mwrlx6rj9twv9w8/Logic%20Pro%20X%20-%20ICE%20Delay.png?dl=0

You can also use the Grain Delay device in Ableton to get this chrystal effect. Especially when you use it in a return track it's also not a problem that the Grain Delay lacks a filter because you could just put one in front of the Grain Delay for the same result.
