Have you ever been in a room full of ostomies? If you were at the UOAA conference, you have been! This year's national conference for the United Ostomy Associations of America was held in Houston! We road tripped down there to speak, learn, and see old and new friends. Its a wonderful opportunity to learn about the new products meant for your stoma, hear from real patients, and share your own story. I'm so glad I can share some snippets of the experience with you.

Hi Maggie! It was so great to meet you at the conference. I'm glad you got to meet Megan Cherry, too. We love her and her husband, Brad. She and my daughter, Marni, who you also met in the exhibit hall were featured in a CCFA video when Marni was seven and again a year later. She was someone Marni really admired and looked up to. While you and Marni (and Wendy) chatted, I very much enjoyed talking to Zak about non-stoma stuff. He's a keeper for sure!

Maggie... You should suggest to the org to set up a youtube where they can share clips or some of the interviews/panels from the conference. It could be an extra income for them!

I totally get what you described about needing time to process after getting home. I feel the same way after an Oley Conference (for tube or vein fed people.) Sounds like it was a great trip with lots of exciting activities.

Maggie, a little suggestion. When we donate to your favorite Ostomy organization, like $50, could we get autographed picture of you and your friend Megan with Zak. I saw your quickie video a few days ago. I was ecstatic for you. I have a heavy feeling both you and Zak are going back to the conference. However I recommend you guys arrive two nights before the conference starts and leave two days after the conference ends. Yes, meeting wonderful friends are great but seriously you guys need more time. Love to 🤗 you Maggie. Zak is a blessing. One of the bright lights of KZbin.

I was curious and maybe it’s in some of your older videos but I’ve watched quite a few. I’m new with you, but I’ve watched quite a few, what ever happened to the wedding venue with the barn that you guys made over? Is that some thing that you guys have done or are still doing?? Hi Maggie I have followed you for a couple of years I had a ileo ostomy for urine 10 yrs as a kid fast forward to today I have been diagnosis with a aggressive form of bladder cancer and had a bowel bladder fistula Removed fixed ? 8 hour surgery I woke up with half my bladder gone half my bowel colostomy bag permanent my ureter gone tube straight into kidney your vlogs will help but I am struggling ATM thank you elly

I’ve had very similar Ostomy surgery and also wear a tube straight into my kidney. I hope things are going better for you. I teasingly call all of my bag and tubing pool supplies. My grandkids think that comparison is hilarious. ❤
