Some of these are what I'm running at the end game too. Though my Throne is an armsmaster, because Hikari gets so many ridiculously sick learned skills (impaler especially) that it doesn't make sense to give him the Armsmaster skills too.

WTF, Hikari just casually hitting a 19k normal attack. He prob couldve hit 99,999 × 3 with his spear skill or 99,999 x 4 with his EX.

I gave my Hikari a learned skill that uses all of his SP (like the Temenos nuke) and this attack without any nuts surpassed the 9999 damage barrier when Hikari was still around lvl 30. I guess I just had good equips...

@@user-mv2nn6rw2w You're talking like I don't use Castii to cast Remedy Currently my Hikari is still below lvl 35, and I brought him along for the five tiered tower (which I won, but I was glad at one point Alephan's Wisdom boosted Temenos was the only one standing, so he could cast Revive and Rejuvenate which at my current lvl fully healed everyone)

From what I can see he has Throne and Temenos in the party at night for the automatic buffs and debuffs, lvl 90 and up, I think I saw the debuff to always land a critical hit....so yeah. Damage is unreal. I'm curious to see the builds on each character. I just tried the Conjurer skill on Hikari that levels your attack and magic. Put his magic over 800. So many builds in this game lol. A shame you can't use it on anyone unless you save right before the secret final boss.

Conjurer pursuit does piss poor damage for me compared to Rune Lord in the first game. I have no idea what values it uses to calculate damage but I am doing less than 1k most the time.

@@oliversianturi1818 Is that different than from the first game? I feel like the first it scales off the elemental attack of the Runelord on everyone else which is why physical attackers were able to still do insane damage when buffed.

@@FloorFourteen Try using the passive skill that levels elemental atk to physical atk. That should improve results on people like Hikari.

Oh well Osvalds one true magic and Hikari's everything is getting there. Hikari can learn a skill called limb by limb which can deal 4 hits of capped damage when built correctly. Combined with dancer divine skill it effectively becomes Winnhilds battle cry and can easily one shot everything.

Nah, it’s much easier to consistently hit max damage on all foes without relying on 1hp tactics in 2. I was at full health and hit 200K on the final boss, with shields up, no latent, on all foes. In 1 you basically had to use the 1HP trick to deal max damage multiple times.

​@@zitachiii2196armsmaster has six fold strike as their basic skill and doesn't require having a divine weapon equipped. Would assume the 1 HP build and having the battle tested weapons would make it easy (especially with sealticge to make it hit every enemy like the warbringer divine)

The only major challenge is the secret boss from the previous game, but even then, that boss can be taken down very easily with the right set up.

@@post6597 I don't think that's the point. I'm pretty sure what he's pointing out is that it's impractical since most people will not grind to 99 even if they can and possibly with ease. I haven't looked up any grinding methods, personally, because I'm not looking to make the game even easier.

@@TenchiHawkwing well if octopath 2 is anything like it's predecessor, i think you could get 99,999 damage even if you are not lv 99, all you need is the right equipment and skills

@@post6597 It's absolutely possible, especially against lower defense targets like what's being shown in the video. It's just much harder unless we're talking about feeding nuts or without specific setups like that 1HP Hikari or 999SP Temenos shown here. Both of those are hitting damage cap without issues but many of the other things seen here would be more difficult to cap with at normal levels. I finished everything around 70 for example and I kept life in the shadows on for basically the entire game and fought at night all the time and never ran from battles. I didn't do any grinding per se but the bonus exp definitely adds up.

I will be honest. This game is more grindy than the first game. The first game you can hit 99999 dmg around lv. 45. While this one require 80+ lv.

I've been able to do max damage with partitio and he's just lvl 50 w/o nuts, I think it's more about finding good equipment than lvls tbh

That's not true. In this game you have so many exp/jp options that you can stack, plus a certain follower who can provide 100x exp/jp if you're very lucky. You also have good leveling areas open to you from the very start. So you can easily hit your 80s with a good set up and a few hours to spare.
