grinding through the keys was extremely boring after a while, non of the gamemodes was interesting enough to actually make playing them 20-40 times feels somewhat fun. The last stand mode should include more waves and maybe alternating enemies so its not that predictable. Still better to grind then to buy keys tho, with 80x50gold =4k Gold just to skip the last stage is incredible expensive

Either I got lucky or it isnt that hard at all, I beat it after only a few tries with randoms... The last stand gamemode on the other hand I found much much harder to beat, so that I didnt even bother to try finishing it. Grinding the normal mode gave me guaranteed 8 or 9 keys every round (incl.. daily mission), so that was my way to grind out the Nergal.

Indeed. Had a nightmare mode going, me including 2 did fine, others just..crap. the game after, we 3 randoms made a group and got 2 other random who were good. Farmed nightmare 3 times and that's how we got it. Lucky? Yes. But good random that had brains at least.

​@@Th3hun13r Im guessing that's because of normalization? you could argue high pen AP rounds are better than HEAT because of normalization. ie a 330 AP would easily penetrate say an obj 279 e upper plate but a 330 HEAT wouldnt be as consistent. APCR also has normalization but not as much as AP

I was lucky and did Nightmare so got the tanks for free. It not a bad tank, there's a deal where you can get 100 keys, some gold and 7 days premium for just under £9. I'd say its worth that easy, so if your close to getting it £9 is worth it.

I got this tank just a few days after the event start, and it's really fun baiting people to shoot it on the track but now a lot of player already know how to deal with this tank, so it's kinda hard to play when you got into a bad matchup

They quickly nerfed the key earnings after the first half of the event. It takes a lot longer to earn it now. 7 keys per battle is the norm now. They stealth nerfed the key earnings.

I got this tank on the very first day. Perhaps due to the 17 keys boost. I think I got it in less than 10 hours. I very much liked the Last Stand game mode! And the fact that I could get at least 100k credits from every battle. Not as much as from randoms but better than what you get from Steel Hunter

it very likely depended on which time you played. at the start of event you had higher chance of getting good teammates. in later part of season all the good players stop playing cuz they already have the tank so all you get are bad teammates. and for me i did get better teams during 4am my time. worst teams were around evening when servers were packed. this is all about playing with randoms.

I have 76% winratio on it. No bond equipment, no gold fired. I love it, in tier 8 battles i kinda get around 4k dmg dealt with may max being 6k. It s my playstyle tank, at least until people learn how to deal with it.

It’s nice that you had such great experience with the last Stand game mode. My was the opposite. Not playing with a team and it was very rough. Getting sometimes just 2-4 keys after 15 min. Had better experience with madness level. Played this mode quite long and still was missing 70 keys. It’s again one of this bait events

I really liked the event with how easy it was to get this tank. Also, a big tank you to QB for carrying me through the 10 minute mark to cross the 5 % hurdle in order to get juicy rewards in Last Stand

I'm not a great player, not ashamed to say that either, however, that being said, I'm getting some of the best results I've ever had since starting WoT 18months ago, and it's only getting better improvement wise the more I play it. The +2 lobbies are rough, and prone to being farmed, the +1 lobbies however are simply gold required with most of the opponents, and other than that it's right as rain as if it were a straight 8's or -2 -1 lobby. Best free tank I've grabbed up yet. I agree with you in hoping that they expand on last stand mode as far as increasing the waves past 5. Thanks for another smash up job on the Vid! Yes, the Babylon event was really good - high adrenaline and good reward tank without having to spend a ridiculous amount of time to grind it. I didn't finish the Nightmare level, but devoted several hours over 3 days to grind through the keys on Normal mode, as on Hard or Last Stand I found I couldn't rely on a win, so sometimes you would get very few keys to show for it.

All i did to get the Nergal was play easy mode 1 time in each tank per day. Id usually come in first cause on average i got 25-30k damage. That was worth 9 keys per tank per day. I finished all stages except the last one, i had to use 160 keys to decrypt that one cause i just couldnt get a team to complete it

Personally, i was able to get all modes alart from nighmare done. Wasnt massivly fussed about it as the 160 grind for the skip wasnt too bad either, just did my dailies

I got it in less than a week ago with randoms only. Dpm is king and thankfully the ts-5 was perfect for the grind.

i nearly got the Nergal for free, but towards the end I just couldnt force myself to grind for it anymore. I ended up spending approx. 1,000 gold to finish up the final stage

The new level cap is 80 and it was 70 for Dragonflight expansion. The Nergel is fun to play but it seems to me as a tank to bring out when having a few bad games to just vent with, i got it after the change to the game mode due to life things but happy i managed to get a tank offered for free during the event.

I downloaded WOT as a new player about 3 weeks ago and played through the event without cashing in. That was easily 200-300 games with randoms.... But I'm glad to have saved about 14k gold and to have improved my skills. I think best start as a newbie

It feels alot like the tog. Slow long pretty good dpm, but eaten alive as soon as some one know what they are doing. You meet something like ka-ri and it will pen you pretty much everywhere. Did not even clear hard mode. Just played last stand and got it in 30h. Suprisingly often cleared all 5 waves.

I ground it out for free in the hardest way: being a mediocre ftp player doing 100% random teams. Still managed to finish it with a couple days to spare. Playing in this manner, I earned about the same number of keys per hour in Nightmare mode as in Last Stand. But since completing Nightmare milestones halved the number of keys to progress the chapters, it was worthwhile to keep doing it until I lucked out to get a team that beat it. Didn't even take as many attempts as I feared it would. The only problem is that, because the mode reassigns your ammo and consumable hotkeys by default, my reflexes are now messed up for randoms, and I have to re-acclimate.

For me as an average player I have grinded it in standard mode after I finished hard and nightmare at least once but managed get the marathon done half way in the first day before WG nerfed the income. It is easier for average non unicum, player to complete it in standard mode than doing it in last stand because you can win more consistently.

Skoda has +1.28 winrate diff and is clearly op. The Nergal has +0.11 winrate diff it's perfectly balanced. The tank already has very strong armour, what do you want another BZ176? Like jesus christ I really think some people only like op tanks and don't care about game balance.

Using random queue I was only able to complete last stand once, and after they nerfed the reward it wasn't worth it anymore. And I don't know if they made the regular game mode harder or not, but the first few days I rarely got tracked or caught on fire, but towards the end I would continuously get tracked or set on fire on consecutive shots.

I played like 10 hours maybe in total, haven't paid a dime for it. Only once did a nightmare difficulty, then was grinding on levels normal & hard, few games each available tank per day. Wasn't playing that 2nd mode part of the event, with regular tanks because it wasn't bringing any XP to those tanks in that mode.

I could never find a way to make it through round 5 on the last stand to skip that one. One miracle random group I found myself in got nightmare done easier than some normal games. The teams towards the end got pretty bad once the people who had a clue were finished.

It'd be nice if next time Last Stand came out, they maybe made it a bit more balanced for tech tree tanks. It's fine that the Turtle and the Grom and the TS-5 are the best, but I'd like being able to have a bit more choice. Make it a proper Nazi Zombies parallel, spread it out to 10 waves or something.

I got to Stage 14/15, unfortunately Life's extremely in the way so can only play so much. Also, trying to find a GOOD team to get thru the harder levels is a challenge. I was surprised overall that most folks knew how to play i.e. pinged spots, worked together to get thru the levels. I did debate whether to drop some coin to get to the end.... I did get the Marshal pkg to skip the rest. In the end I looked at it as I got a bunch for resources from the event, which probably cost more outside in the Prem Store etc. Any change I have left will go for some Xmas boxes.

did play the last stand 4-5 times. not interested in finding a platoon, but with randoms, i'd say, getting the 4th stage done, was good enough:) nightmare is luckily easy enough to do with a random team. ended up just playing each of the tanks once a day in normal difficulty, so gathering like 50-52 keys per day. was rather fast like that also. but for me the gameplay is just soooo boring, that that was just a pure grind i did every evening ( an hour or something like that). got the tank 6 day ago. did not play a single game after that in that mode:)

I like the Nergal. It's pretty trolly at T8. But T9 and T10, ehhhhh.... it suffers a bit. MM should be +-1 max. I'll take longer queue to play a match that I'm not getting seal clubbed. That said, it's a great T8 corner troll tank. It's nice to have a tank I can stick my nose around corners instead of having to side-scrape all the time.

I made it to the 16th stage the "hard way" (no organized team of good players) but, after collecting 75 keys while being unable to complete stage 4 in nightmare difficulty; i decided to spend the $12 to get the 100 keys. This is the only purchase I have made in WoT in over a year so it was an acceptable cost to not completely waste my hours of playing to get the Nergal.

I probably only beat wave 5 out of 20% of games I played with random teams, and I was always top dmg (used the wz-120-1GFT) i watched so many charioteers die in that mode...

It was super easy to get, 100% solo, got every step done except the last one and didn't even play every day or play that much except for on the 19th where I played for about 3 hours. I wasn't even going to bother with it since I usually hate these PvE events and had zero interest in the tank but I started off just trying to get the first BP reward then started flying through levels so fast I just kept going and finished on the 26th. Unless they had absolutely no time to play why anyone would outright buy this mediocre tank right off the bat is beyond me. Didn't even know you got two keys for each tank every day until I was almost done, would have been a lot faster if I had know since I mostly played the Grenadier which was the only fun one.

It's fine for f2p players who want to grind credits, but you will get matched against people with actually good premiums like the Skoda T56 and BZ-176. It's really not competitive.

I came during this game mode because it was pretty fun and wanted to see what the state of the game is like and then they quietly nerfed the event. Which completely discouraged me from playing anymore because it just reinforced why i had stopped playing before. I haven't played since that quiet patch as I really detest that kind of behavior. All it ended up doing is reinforced the opinions of those that put the game away instead of bringing back players. I think more would have come back if not for that nerf.

I am a casual, I have never finished an alternative game mode because they are not fun. This one, after 5 games, is not either. Your discord made it somewhat bearable. I came back to the game a month ago, and it tempered my enthusiasm in the game, by playing 3/4 games some nights of the week to an unfun thing. I lack 80 keys and I go out tonight. Still, I admit that it is a tier 8 Prem for not much effort required, which is always welcome.

what you say is true, but not everyone is a good player and doesn't have the opportunity to create a team with someone who is able to do it so quickly. Mostly it depends on random noobs. Also, not everyone has the opportunity to devote more time to it than 1-3 hours a day.

It’s too bad nowadays to get into random with very slow tanks like this. You will reach your HT position and or your all team would be destroyed either the enemy one’s so that you can’t even normally realize the dpm. And what about armor I can say 100 percent this tank has an armor immune of stupids cause it’s so slow that you can’t move your tanks in good angles. In practical way I could block more damage by playing with Patriot than this one. Tank was okay before WG team decided that this would be too much for simple players so that nerfed it and converted into garbage. Probably I will just change this tank in trade in to get other more comfortable tank

Got mine for free, it's so slooww, I was overtaken by a Turtle tank, I think it's a good tank, but the speed just ruins it for me, had some 0 damage games when our team stomps the enemy faster than I can keep up, it's just not fun to play imo.
