Spoilers ahead but For everyone's heartbroken you can make it gay, it still counts, and it has a happy(ish) ending. First have Elenor and Ligeia propose. Then have Edgar propose to either girl. He will be rejected counting as the first heartbreak. Kill Elenora and then Ligeia making sure both are at each other's grave. When they see that the other is dead they will have their hearts broken. Finally, have Elenora and Ligeia propose the two ghosts will be in love. In fact, that is also how to get the jester hat.
