The only American who won't acknowledge this Administration's failed economic policies is Joe Biden. "Shrink-flation' is the least of our worries compared to rising rents and stagnant wages, but it is an undeniable indicator of how bad our inflation has gotten. I have $100k that i like to invest in a non-retirement account, any advice on that?

That's also just breaking-even, not doing well. And when these companies take out loans to make payroll, they are robbing their employees via the inflation created by fractional reserve banking. This system is broken.

The Fed has two choices, and both are bad; cut the rate, which will crash the market and cause skyrocketing inflation OR to NOT cut rates, which will fight inflation but destroy the economy when consumer spending stops. The big issue is that the US economy had gotten hopelessly addicted to cheap debt. For almost 20 years, the rates were artificially low. But this and printing TRILLIONS of dollars has now led to the worst inflation since the 70s

We do need a serious change to how our economy works, but raising interest rates is not going to be what does it. What needs to happen is all lenders need to heavily restrict lending of all kinds. This can be done by forcing a much higher asset requirement for reserve fractional lending. This will restrict the actual money supply used by Americans, the use of debt. This is what our system needs and it will be a hard pill for businesses to swallow. Remember, in March of 2020, the Fed changed the asset requirement for bank lending down to zero. This is the real expansion of the money supply.
