At this point, we are being lied to every single day about how well the economy is doing, and you don't have to look very far for proof that simultaneously everyone is going broke. In fact, we can sum it all up just from looking at one FRED chart on the economy that proves this.

But then again, the lines part from saving.. mine literally above 90% of majority, and Debt free!!! While those who love wasting money for mundane stuff, that can be reduced by making it at home? They ended up having less saving than I do.. they "imagine 1G of saving on their bank account.." wow, that kind of statement really opened my eye. I.e I plant a productive plants & made My own Private Cafe setup on backyard and made my own coffee & juice straight out of my own backyard obviously all by myself.. I should also mention that this is just one method for the state to get some cash, not a federally mandated thing, TX for example, has no state income tax, but every other tax is higher to compensate, so if you really hate property tax bitch to your state comptroller to get it banned lol.

@@humanbeing5300 Don't try to tell a libertarian facts. Next thing you might point out that with no police, they'd have to pay private security to not get instantly robbed; with no public schools, they'd have to pay for a private school; with no sewer/water, they'd have to pay someone to provide those to not get cholera from drinking their own contaminated water. And, at the end of the day, you end up with private entities you have to pay constantly--which is totally different than a gov't/taxes and better because... I dunno, they have profit margins so it's more expensive. The funniest part is most libertarians live in suburbs or rural areas where they're actually a net drain on tax coffers--literally taking handouts from more densely populated areas because providing services to spaced out areas requires ton more infrastructure (roads, water/sewer lines, electric lines, power use for large homes that don't share walls, etc.) per person supported.

I’m in San Jose, California. He’s right, it’s nuts here on how expensive it is to live here. Rent for our 2 bed 1200 townhouse, is 3400! Utilities are nuts, gas is $7 a gallon, food is insane. A Big Mac meal here is $17…..I know that also has to do with the fast food wages being raised to $20, but the cost of business is nuts here so the cost of that Big Mac was already super crazy high. This is not sustainable. Something has got to give, right?

To be candid...I believe even with 3 rate cuts...so many persons individual finances have been wrecked...so even with the rate cuts there is so much stress on everyone's finances...for instance who wants to buy a home at top level prices...still high interest rates...insurance rates spiraling....also with month over month inflation taking/continues to take a toll....I believe that we are in for a long slog of a gradual downturn....prices to slowly recede while unemployment ticks up. Hopefully unemployment does not totally pancake the economy!...also the genies been out of the bottle for so long it might be in the short term unfixable.🙏🙏🙏🙏....to answer your question about why don't they let it fix itself...it's political!!

I’m here in Sarasota, Florida on holiday from the UK. I have been blown away by how expensive food is here. A typical grocery shop here is about double what I’d pay in UK. Yes, inflation is a worldwide phenomenon. The US economy is not great but not as bad. US prices cannot be compared to UK prices because even the salary is not the same. In many places in the US, the minimum wage is about 30-40k while more professional jobs is about 50-150k, and other specialized careers like doctors are making 100-500+k per year. I've heard the salary is much lower in the UK with some examples & therefore the prices are lower, what is salary like over there in your opinion?

The worst part about this entire situation is that you tell somebody from an older generation and they don’t believe you all they do is tell you to pull yourself up by the boot straps. I’m 28 years old I live on my own in a one bedroom apartment in New York City because I grew up here in Brooklyn. I make $75,000 a year and I barely make ends meet. I have a savings of less than $5000 and I struggle all the time. At the end of the month I have a little over $1000 for myself after paying all my bills. I make $75,000 a year. It’s honestly so utterly ridiculous and this is all done by design by government. The only way things change is if people start to fight back. Everybody needs to stop having such a defeated mindset and accepting the fact that it’s over in theirminds. It’s really screwed up in America now we have to adopt this mentality of shacking up with some random roommate We don’t even know or needing to be in a relationship just to be able to save money. This is what happens when people vote without using their logic and they use their emotion and this is where it gets us. It’s not right and something needs to change.

In all my life iv never seen anything like it. Iv been told many times by different people, there's no longer a middle class in America, you're either poor or rich, nomore middle man. Son gets paid 4 times a month, my check makes 5 and its still not enough to afford housing. This is the absolute truth. In the 80's & 90's I was a single parent, working 40 hrs a week min wage, supporting me and a child, still managed to pay bills, out to eat, vacation once a year. Sadly them days are gone. I think our economy is so bad bc were constantly getting bombarded with people coming here from other countries. There's 35 million illegals already here. You wonder how's that even possible? These people are human beings, they don't have money to eat, they need food, shelter, pretty much everything. So what happens? Who is financially responsible to house & feed multi millions of people? I was told the more people on food stamps, raises the cost of food for the ones not receiving Food Stamps? How can that be true? Sounds like the people who work for a living is getting punished bc they choose to do the right thing?? Nowadays cheap rent is 900 a month for efficiency apt in seedy side of town. Burger King 2 whoppers, 2 drinks, 2 French fries, 27 plus tax, 18. an hour, hard labor. You do the math. These people come here in search of the American dream, well it may hv existed at one time but it don't exist nomore, its nothing but struggle here in the usa. Its not as much as financial greed but the W.E.F wants to control the world. The richest of the rich decided that they should control everything, manage populations, distribute what foods and medicines they feel appropriate. People get angry believing that this is just something that is happening but Klaus Schwab and his Billionaires at the W.E.F. control many of the worlds political leaders. Biden is a willing follower or they have all the dirt on Biden and he does their bidding to keep his entire family out of prison. Trudeau is a favorite son, many European leaders bend the knee, even China and India report back to the W.E.F. The W.E.F can buy and fire any American Mayor, DA, Legislator that they want, Democrats are generally on board but the RINO republicans fall in line. Its time to look at the puppet master lurking behind the curtains who are pulling all of the strings. All it takes are greedy power hungry politicians and the W.E.F.s work is made so much easier. Add in the general ignorance to what is happening along with the willful avoidance where people don't want to see it when its right in front of them in plain sight and you have a situation where the W.E.F. can operate with impunity. Once you realize just how insidious the W.E.F. is to have robbed a planet full of people of their ability to voice their opinions and influence their counties future by voting. If their leadership are WEF puppets then elections are moot and free will is lost.

I'm 72 and started working, summers, when I was 16....always worked hard. I made some mistakes, wasn't a great money manager and never invested but I always had a fairly nice house. When I see these prices I am just baffled. Even in today's world how many people have got 2 million bucks for a house? I mean, who makes that kind of money? Obviously, there's a minority of people who - somehow - do make enough money to spend this for a house but it still has to be a small percentage of people. Again (I've said it before): Beginning with Reagan we started moving more and more to a shareholder economy and the 10 or 20 percent of people who are actively in the stock market are, soon, gonna own everything. The fulcrum upon which functional capitalism turns is competition and we're wiping out competition in a every way. This whole country has become an out-of-control pyramid scheme.

Canada's pretty bad in this regard as well. I could never manage to be financially stable on my own if it wasn't for my family helping, but until when will that be sustainable? I make well over minimum wage as well and spend with care. It's absolutely nuts.

100% Can't continue. I'm 48 from a family of self employed, hard working business owners. My parents were both from the 1930 and I know from their experience through the depression and my own since childhood and history. Our economy, prices, cost of living had never been this out of whack. People can't afford to live like this. I have very little debt but rent, property values, food, fuel everything is far to expensive and income is not and will not be able to keep up.

Covid screwed everything up. Millions of businesses closed. Millions lost their jobs. But prices are still high because everyone is speculating and trying to make a quick buck. Then you have all the lonely and depressed people who are buying themselves expensive toys in order to feel better

I took a cross-country motorcycle trip from the Mississippi to the Atlantic last summer. I was astonished at the absolute decay of almost every city, town, and neighborhood that I passed through. I saw **countless** homes that desperately needed a new roof or siding repair-and had clearly needed the repairs for quite some time. Vehicles were trusted and in disrepair. Roads and highways for hundreds and hundreds of miles, through numerous States, were in shambles. It was very clear from the zoomed-out perspective that the country is in a state of decay. People and communities can't afford to maintain existence, let alone advance and prosper.

@@Qingeaton - The US government has always invested in US business and this predates to WW2! Name me a single corporation that hasn’t benefited from this arrangement. Every major government in the world practices it. Also the Chips Act is vital to US National Security. Why the hell wouldn’t the US want to be manufacturing semi conductor chips in America? 🇺🇸

Yea delusional ! The basic homes are not worth that value! People are destroying the family home market. So short sighted can't see past the greed that is going to make it impossible for there own kids to purchase a home in the future. That's OK though at least there will be a rental option available to them from some Chinese investor 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Still driving my truck made in 2002. I also keep a car made in 1992 . I keep them going by doing my own maintenance. After several dealer shop screwups, I decided I can f things up a lot cheaper. Watched youtube and learned how to do it myself.

Ditto only my daily driver is 2000, bought it brand new, no car payment since. Only debt is mortgage in which I pay extra to principal each month when I can. Keep groceries simple, eat the same meals day after day. Buy coffee, make at home and bring to work, pack my lunch and all that jazz. Everyone at work goes out to lunch, I never have, not even once, I bring my lunch every day. Insurance costs are killing me, homeowners doubled. Getting harder however, I will continue to do my part to live "simple". Not always easy however, it is currently necessary.

I am from Brazil. I remember when I heard that in USA people didn't have installment purchases. Now I see it became very common, you can buy almost everything splited by months... And you are right about the consequences, here in Brazil, is easy to find peole bragging about buying an expensive iphone 15 pro and paying only the first installment and leaving the name 'dirty' for ne next 5 years, cause in 5 years the agencies have to remove your name from the black list!
