Loved you reaction! Never apologize for loving Lestat-he is literally the main character of The Vampire Chronicles. Rolin Jones took the project with the understanding that it would be a Gothic Romance between Louis and Lestat. People who can’t stand Loustat better find a different show to watch! Or hate watch if that’s what they’re into because they aren’t going to be happy with upcoming seasons

Love Lestat’s toxic character but Armand is definitely my favorite psycho in this show 😅 there’s many layers to him and opportunity to dissect all his abhorrent decisions/behaviors back to his devastating traumas & how he molded into this gremlin! Ep 5 is one of the best stand alone episodes of tv I’ve seen in YEARS, can’t wait for your reaction in part 2!

The photos that are not Louis' are actual photos by renowned American photographer Fred Stein. The other photos depicting the children on the street are by famed photographer and writer Gordon Parks. The scene in the bistro with Armand and Louis includes the appearance of famous novelist and philosopher, Jean-Paul Sartre, "Father of Existentialism,"(1905 -1980). Sarte's presence in this scene is important as it addresses the theme of a person's existence and embracing responsibility responsibility of one's actions in order to lead an authentic life. It's also explains Lestat's presence in the scene.

One thing I didn’t realize until someone pointed it out was that Louis had to watch another loved one fall to their death during the My Baby Loves Windows play. I didn’t even think about how that could be triggering for Louis after Paul’s death in Season 1. 😬🫠

Always saddens me when Armand/Assad scenes are always cut put in place of Lestat when he isn't a main character of this season. Love the reaction just wish more was shown of him because he is a fantastic actor and put alot into the role.

Totally understand this critique. We have to be incredibly careful about clip length or else we get copyright strikes. Armand’s backstory almost made the final cut but the length of the clips was too long and we had to cut it down. This is why we include our full length reacts on Patreon.
