I want you to know that I will never ever again complain about the price I have to pay for vegetables. After seeing how much work that you and other farmers have to do to get those vegetables to me I am humbled. A hearty, hearty thanks for all you do.

I'm so ready for the 2023 growing season and being that I'm in 6b I'm just torturing myself watching videos like these all winter long 🤣. I plant a sardine under my tomatoes and peppers every year and almost never fertilize throughout the season, it's always worked like a charm for me. It's good to hear that, that little nitrogen they get in the beginning is good enough, the conformation is all I needed to hear 😁👍👍

Sprouting plants and a happy kid, what a great day! Can't wait till we see if she is a kitchen kid or a store kid, or a greenhouse kid, or an animal kid, or a field kid, or an equipment repair kid ... I always wanted to grow crops in a greenhouse "not a field" myself. Greenhouses are solid proof of albedo effect, “cool islands” and decreased heat waves are projected. This was the key finding of the study in Almeria.

Here in Australia it's currently Winter. Sydney is expecting a high of 23C, approx 76F in a couple of days. I do have a Winter coat, I bought it last year but have yet to wear it. Thanks for the tomato info, my plants last summer were enormous, my husband isn't a gardener, so he was fertilising with fish emulsion every week. The rain was torrential all summer too, so any fruit we got, rotted or was eaten by possums before they were grown. I managed to pick 3 tomatoes 🍅 from 12 plants! Your greenhouses are fabulous, love how big it is.

Another recommendation is get a soil test. If your local extension can't do it (South Dakota doesn't), then there are companies who will send a soil container and a return envelope, you fill and return and get a report. I did two samples at 29$ each, had my results within 2 weeks. My soil was almost completely depleted of K-Potassium, while I had too much P-phosphorus and my N-nitrogen was only slightly low (a surprise). If you have clay soil, check your K, the mica in clay soil likes to hold onto K instead of making it available to plants. Meaning the soil may need potassium added back. According to a soil scientist anyway. Another helpful video. Thanks!

Grandpa is especially happy. He is looking forward to getting all those plants into the ground. Grandpa talked about too much nitrogen. Well my dad in the '70s, planted tomatoes in Coventry, Rhode Island. He got some chicken manure from a farmer which he placed in a 55 gallon barrel. He filled it with water and watered his tomato plants each day with this manure water. His tomato plants looked like trees; they were beautiful. But they had no fruit. Too much nitrogen
