Simple explanations for each episode Episode 6: The meat dragon was said to being worked on in an earlier episode. Episode 9: The demon Paul mask is in Carls imagination. Episode 12: Carl screams his name, jumps into a lake, drowns himself, then silence. THAT is what forgiveness sounds like. People drowning? Screaming, and then silence. That is his work being finished. The beard: The beard has been growing out throughout the episodes that he had the Paul mask. It shows how far he is into true insanity.

Actually the song you "graduate" to is Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 in D Major by Edward Elgar (its about 2 minutes into the piece, if you are listening to the entire work), the piece they are playing in this is the Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel.
