So, the idea behind how he trained po so fast is this, Po being a kung fu fanatic, has already been mimicking the moves of the 5 for years, so shifu realizes training the same way he did with the 5 was pointless, he already knew all their moves, instead shifu had to teach po how to apply those moves, which he realized he could do when po has a reason to want to apply them, IE Food, which resulted in creating a unique style that blends the elements of the 5 together, known in china as dragon style, which is why he's able to train po so much faster, he already has the muscle memory built up

Bro was getting folded the entire fight, the odds of blocking one of Tai Lung's punches that perfectly with that little presence in the fight are small 2. Not that he would've won with a clear head, he still would have likely lost, but it still hurt him

I just realized that the actual reason Tai Lung wasn't initially selected as the Dragon warrior wasn't because he was already evil, but instead it was because of how he reacted when the Scroll was blank. He couldn't understand that there wasn't some scroll, or potion, or magic that would make him the dragon warrior, and that it was just his journey of training. He was so focused on reaching the McGuffin that he would've probably still turned bad if he realized from the start that there was no McGuffin. The darkness Oogway saw was too much ambition, pride, single mindedness.
