I like Jack but unfortunately, whilst he can be very fast over one lap, his ability to keep it on the track for the entire race regularly illudes him. It is frustrating to watch because I want him to do well but when 'Crash' is announced I immediately think it is likely to be Jack. Sam Lowes does the same in WSBK - another very fast rider ........ but a crasher.

"Satellite Honda did nothing". You mean apart from beating Marquez fair and square at Assen, he on the satellite Honda, Marquez on the factory? You may have missed his many sterling results in all the teams you mention, but don't allow the facts to affect your prejudice... Yes, Jack has been crashing too often recently, and of course MM would never do that!! But at least team managers the quality of Brivio understand his value.

@@asimms4101 No, no trophy for beating MM, whilst on a satellite Honda, at Assen, but not a bad effort nonetheless. At least Australia, a nation of 26m, have contenders in all three categories of MotoGP. Two in Moto3, and both doing pretty well. But Jack brings more to a team than some others, even though he has clearly lost a few tenths of a second in recent years. But he has always fought pretty hard, under some difficult circumstances at times, and some of us don't move on to the latest thing quite so quickly. Not sure why you're so angry about him - he's a pretty decent feller from those who know him. No, you don't 'succeed in racing' (by your measure) by being a good guy, but being liked and respected in the paddock is something not all riders can manage.

@@asimms4101 Look, we are all entitled to watch the racing, and have our opinions. That's what this comments section is for, surely? I watch the MotoGP fanatically, from all the P1s in all the categories, through to all the racing. Every interview, every minute. And I have watched many races in person, in many countries. I'm not sure who called you a 'hater', but I know it wasn't me! I simply tried to balance your fairly negative assessment of a respected rider by making a few points you weren't taking into account. But it's not just my opinion - it is the opinion of Davide Brivio, a team chief who knows more about it than any of us on here. Yes, Jack isn't going all that well at the moment (and neither is Brad Binder, oddly enough) and most of the riders go through these periods. Like Marc Marquez over the last few years... I was simply making some balancing points, that Jack brings more to the team than the viewers can see, which is why he keeps getting offered rides. So settle down; we are all entitled to our opinion.
