So, I had the privilege of learning the basics of Indian Sign Language as a part of my college curriculum. I was also blessed to have had a few brief encounters with deaf people after that. I felt to blessed to have been able to communicate with them, even though it was very little. This made me realise how the hearing people don't even know about the deaf people's language. And I wanted to tell everyone about it, so I decided to start this series.

Do you have any idea if any such certification course is avlbl in DU or if any cell offers any such plan? I was planning to start a project in DU where most of the students can learn ISL for free. Since I see a lot of communication gap and also I truely blv the onus is on us to provide them equal space for communication. So it is we who need to adjust and learn this way of communication as well. Happy sharing:)
