Please pray for me. I am going through a period of anxiety and depression that has kept me from working for the past few days. I believe it is caused by health issues, but I am not sure. Pray that the doctors will be able to help me. Your videos have helped to calm me and given me protection against the demons that torment me in this time of vulnerability. This sermon in particular helped me to realize I was judging and comparing myself to others, leading me to feel anxiety about my future, jealousy, hatred and bitterness. I know now that I need to trust in God and His plans for me, and to love people. Thank you Fr. Seraphim.

Comparing yourself to another person make you slave of men instead of being servants of God. We owe everything to him. Not to others or ever our own self.

This was very helpful. Comparing oneself with others is a trap that robs one of peace and joy, and it turns into a living hell. I run to Jesus. He is my loving brother and my God. God is truth and love. The world can tell me nothing.

Thank you very much for these profound words given to you by the Holy Spirit. I always tell myself just focus on being the best Catholic you can be. Pray for others and don’t focus on their errors because that will lead to comparison of “im better than so and so” but focus on your errors by asking God to help you get rid of those errors from your heart. We live in a culture of comparison and competition for a reason. It helps generate money to corporations to keep us in a competitive social network. In the spiritual life we are no competitive but encouragers of each other with sincerity and love. P.S if you do call out or see their errors at least teach them in love to help correct their error and not put down. That way you can see your brother or sister grow and mature spiritually. Amen

Father, please considder explaining how one can KNOW God exists and how one can experience His presence in ones personal life. I became an Orthodox Christian after reading about Orthodox epistemology thaught by St. Gregory Palamas, about illumination and God’s revelation within the purified heart of man - and I really think that this topic is most important for all of us. We all need to purify our hearts and experience God, so we may have strong faith.

Attend. The Lord told you this age shall come. It is the age of Spiritual Darkness where it was said none could work and even the Saints could be fooled. Understand this in your Heart and Attend to what we tell you. The Father is a Unity of Himself and His Children. The Kingdom of Heaven can be described like a fine landscape painting, it can Only be Known and Seen by those who become a Natural part of its Scenery. No Mortal has any power of Good, for the Father Alone is Good, and the Father is the Source of All the Virtues that Describe Him, thus we should at All Times seek to Reflect those virtues in our lives here. Here is a Secret for you that Our Beloved told the Disciples. There is No You or I in Our Fathers Kingdom, there is Only We, there is Only Us, This answers your question of why Jesus spoke from the Cross asking why has thou forsaken Me? and as you know He done no Wrong, thus the Only Answer Resides in Truth, for Unity makes us One, as God is One, Thus there is No I Am in God, for He Remains Eternally One I Am, and we His Children are One with Him...
