Bass Pro sure has a lot of products for fishing and hunting. The only thing that kind of turned me off the last time I shopped at their store in Destin, Fl was that they only gave the 5% military discount to selected cheaper items. Dicks Sporting Goods gave me 10% on all the items that I bought so that is where I’m shopping now.

Awesome! Thank you! This is back to your roots. I watch all your videos. It's not that I don't like the newer videos, but these are the videos that originally drew me to be a subscriber. I subscribed very early on and had a trip with you in April of 2018. It taught be how to be really successful at fishing the AL Gulf Coast for Pompano, whiting, etc. I had been searching for this kind of information since 2001. For years, there was nothing. Then you created a great resource. I hope you continue to create this kind of content.

Matthew ~ Great Videos, I really do enjoy them and wish I could fish as well as you do. I do have a question; what do you do in regards to maintaining your rods & reels? I was saltwater fishing from the surf this year (Myrtle Beach, SC) and now my reels seem to be a bit gritty and hard to reel. So, what do I need to do to them to clean them up and get them ready for my next surf fishing adventure? Thanks & hope to hear from you!!! Take Care & God Bless!!!

Sounds crazy but I've always had fantastic results with white or chartreuse double jig tails. The body about 2.5" long before it goes into the curls on both sides. If you held the body facing down the 2 sides would look like you're making a "heart" shape. I walk in waist high water and walk up and down the beach with a 6'6" -7'6" medium rod , 12 lb test no steel leader but if you want use a mono leader. Cast parallel but into deeper water so you are between your lure and the beach. I've caught a few reds that way. Sure fire fishing in Sanibel Captiva

New to the channel and already love it. Any time I’ve been to the beach I’ve always used a 7 foot catfish set up but never made it past the wave break but worked perfect on the pier. What would you recommend for a rod and a reel just to catch what ever will eat. Sand fleas and shrimp and maybe some cutbate.

I really liked your "info" segment! And now that your channel is getting big, maybe you can acquire some other rods, reels, line, and lures,, and give your thoughts on their performance/quality. Yes, I understand you've already done most of that yourself, to the point of only using what you use,, but it would be interesting (at least to me) of hearing your perspective on different things? Including the info of "where" your fishing and why, is also nice to hear!
