having been friends with people whose family is deep in the music industry and having seen how this machine works even with artists who have experienced solid organic growth but then still always get a certain click moment in which they start getting the pitchfork/apple music/billboard/etc attention because someone powerful in the industry decided that it's their time now and they need this artist to succeed because they've invested capital on them, on a certain level every popular artist is on the industry plant spectrum just from the fact of how any industry works when there's so much money in it, it's not too dissimilar from the stock trade obviously that doesn't give me an authority to know more about 4batz but i want to give my 2 cents bc he's such an interesting case: since you released this video and he's done more interviews with apple music etc. and seeing how they already damage control his image to disassociate him from the term "industry plant" in the public perception, it's almost (in my opinion) making it clearer HOW masterfully this guy has been planted and how cap this all could be. especially his apple music interview with nadeska alexis in which she pretends not knowing what an industry plant is having worked in the industry for at least 15 years, and then try to control the narrative by saying how people are just hating because they're not used to someone blowing up this quickly it SCREAMS cap to me because anyone who works at apple music will know that you need to be at least like 20% industry plant in order to even get there (and there's nothing wrong with that, it's just how it is) - they also know that it's fine if a minority thinks/knows that he's an industry plant but it would become problematic if a majority starts thinking it, that's why im saying damage control because just hearing that interview is gonna make a lotttttt of tik tok kids think that 4batz and nadeska really don't know what an industry plant is or everyone is really just hating bc they think he's ai i personally also think the ai comparison is damage control just to make the "haters" seem more conspiratorial and unreasonable. since the beginning 4batz has been saying "i heard someone say im a industry plant or ai like what does that even mean" - these two terms are worlds apart in terms of meaning and they're both constantly misused during online discourse, and by putting them next to each other he's already making an excuse for his fans to get back to the "haters" that say he's an industry plant since he knows that's gonna be a constant allegation throughout his career, or whoever planted him knew that. i don't think his music has anything to do with ai, they're really well written songs and there isn't really a need to use ai yet since humans (producers, ghostwriters, engineers) are still better at making music. to me it's a complete red herring since it's easy to point fingers at ai and while he isn't guilty of using ai he most likely is guilty of having someone from the industry invest a ton of capital and resources in his growth. industry plants have always been a thing in music but over the last 10 years or so there has been more and more discourse and public knowledge of it than ever before, so it's only logical that music execs are constantly getting better at executing industry plants and hiding how much help/support these artists really got, and 4batz seems to be a masterclass in that, can't wait to see what else comes out and how it all plays out. i do think he sings his own songs tho
