Congratulations for keeping a straight face while talking about pressure on the balls 👏🏼👏🏼🤣. But seriously I love this channel for the amount of detail it goes into.

I remember, that in the 80ies the bearings with half a spacer where used in all the cheap skateboards. They all broke very early.

Does the type of metal the spacer is make a difference? I just ordered some aluminum alloy ones and that's how I ended up here.

What is the "weird" bearing spacer with the two screws (one on either end) called? Are they still being made?

will 8mm also be good for most quad skates? there’s also a 10mm option, i’m not sure which to choose right now, but this video is so helpful!

@Thisissoul - Man, this was very helpful. Could You give me an advice maybe: how to lock the adjsutable spacer to stop unscrew it during the urban skating? Or is the wicked have some tip to do it? Or its better to measure the inside space between the bearing by the "wicked adjustable spacer" and buy a not-adjustable one of that width-size?

Greetings, thanks for sharing, I have a question, does the magnetic bearings comes in different sizes? I’m experiencing the light up wheels are way slower than the non light up wheels. So I was wondering if the spacers are causing the reduce friction

Goede video!

Am I late to the party? I just saw wheels with T-shaped bearings for the first time. The one's I saw have an inner diameter of 6mm, while the axle is a partial threaded PH2 machine screw with a nut on the other side. There is even a recess in the frame to keep the nut in place, so you don't need two drivers to tighten those up. However, searching for replacements lead me to suitcase wheels. Did you get yours from proper skates, and what's the inner diameter?

You may have bought 7mm bearings and you need 8 mm bearings to fit the axel

Hi and thank you for the video: I have Seba High Lights - my issue that I'm having with my wheels/spacer(s) are once I install the spacer/bearings and start tightening down the axle the wheels slows down considerably. I've tried numerous spacers to no avail. I'm running Luminous wheels rockered/ 76/80/80/76 and the slowness occurs on these wheels and on regular non-lighted wheels. My Rollerblade frames are much better and they don't squish the bearings as much and my wheels spin free much better. I use blue thread locker as well and make sure the axles are secure. Any help would be great! Thank you , Greg

Once you insert these 8mm to 6mm adapters, with the bearings, into the wheel, how do you remove the bearing at a later date?

My spacers are part of the axle, threaded on both sides, and screw directly to the frame. Any idea how to get them off? One side comes off easily, but can't get a grip on the axle to get the other bolt off.

Why do they even sell the "end of the straw" bearing spacer if it doesn't work?
@Thisissoul5 ай бұрын
what do you mean with "end of the straw" ?
@polyton45395 ай бұрын
@@Thisissoul you talk about a straw in this video where you explain how spacers are made, around 10:30. that at the end of a long tube wehre they are cut from, the last one sometimes isn't long enough and therefore doesn't fulfill its function when put in the skate

Fun fact: Even my motorcycle's wheels have spacers. And if you don't put the spacers, the bearing's balls will crack. I learned it the hard way.

Dame how did this end up in my feed. I quad skate and skate board. Not inline skate and your wheels are diffent and closer to scooter wheels in my opinion, they dont even fit in most of the bearing presses on the market. Shit bone redz which is thd most easily obtained and commonly used bearing for quads and boards , they have their own sized spacers. And the ones with the bit bigger in the middle , self centering spacers dont fit in quads and skate board wheels. But handy hint, ive found if you have a pen in your tools , a dead pen nib will center spacers to slid them on easy every time on your axles when swaping out your wheel deromitors for diffent surfaces and activities, ie: wider wheels for stablity for derby or curzer boards, softer deromitors for trail skateing and smaller and harder wheels for free stlye , flat ground trick skate boarding and slightly bigger but harder deromitors for park, plaza, ramp and bowl skateing on quads and boards. Not everyone can have 10 set ups but they can have the wheels as the right dogs for the right job so i buy alot of bearings and none of this stuff applies to anything bah roller blades.
