It’s simple to understand , If you have S1 Visa on your passport nothing nothing to worry it’s just you will not get your co-op work permit at airport, you have to apply when you reach at a particular address in canada and from there you can apply for co-op work permit by watching the video I have attached in the description and you will receive your coop work permit within two months or so at that particular address And Coop work permit is for internships and after that you can apply for PGWP after your course completion

Hey khushpreet , you need to apply for co-op work permit in advance of 3 to 4 month before your co-op semester starts due to certain time constraints and risk to be in advance. If you are in india so look into it if you have time to apply after reaching Canada as it needs a certain address on it to mention and deliver somewhere so i don't know how it will work out for you, or else if you have a friend then talk to him and mention his address and get it delivered their if you have less time.

Hey bro! Quick question - I got my passport stamped with an 'S-1' instead of an 'SW-1' visa and my program has a mandatory co-op. I received the Correspondence Letter in my GCKey which also has 'Permit - WP' mentioned. Would I receive a study permit only or both study permit and co-op work permit at the immigration? Only study permit you can get as your visa says S1, so once you reach at particular address and gonna stay there for few months then file your Coop permit and you’ll receive in 2 to 4 months of time

The question was little confusing, but still let me tell that you have to apply for PGWP after your course completion for which your college has to be under DLI (designated learning Institute) approved , and your course should be of 2 years or one plus one by which you can get 3 years of pgwp and you can stay in Canada for three more years after your study by which you can work and become PR within that time period.

The question is good, but according to my knowledge the province and location for your co-op depends on course and college as some courses like in medical need to go college some days during co-op for the reports and do meeting with professors and that cannot be done by even staying far from college and if talking about my course then professors has mentioned us to find co-op within GTA area as they will help with list of companies to get us into it . Moreover, the location of city and rules to complete co-op are written on co-op work permit paper as well.

(FYI just apply as soon as you land in canada and have a permanent address, I've applied in Jan 2022, and it says on ircc website 133 days processing time).

Yes angel, you can do One Plus One from two different colleges and two different courses respectively by extending the study permit after your one year course and Visa as well and after that still you will get 3 years of post graduation work permit.

Yes buddy, the co op work permit is just to accomplish the study curriculum (internships or field placement)...... The work permit is totally different that you get it after your study which will be of one year if you take one year course and also it can be of 3 years if you take two year course or more and by using it you can officially work in a field job or any other job in Canada full time and get your PR within that time period of 3 years.

Hey, i have a general idea about lambton that it is one of the good and reputed colleges in toronto, it has good IT courses and also really good co-op programs and about the summer break , it is mostly available for September intake as an official break between 2 years of study from may to august and very least programs (exception )have official 4 month break in January intake.

That's unpredictable as it's on your luck and skill as you have to find a company within short span and settle for a co-op ..... But still i recommend to hope for best and find a paid one as big companies always give paid co-op and startup give you space to work but they cannot afford to pay you

Bro I lost the physical copy of co op work permit but I have approval letter so what can I do
