Couple of things! 1. Riolu’s Prankster becomes Justified, I missed that. This ability can certainly be useful! 2. Sheer Force Landorus is good in singles. I would say both Incarnate and Therian are both good for different reasons. Thanks for the feedback! This video was a ton of information to keep straight.

Also worth noting, the stats shown for Landorus were those of its Incarnate Form (89/125/90/115/80/101), rather than those of its Therian Form (89/145/90/105/80/91). (A similar mistake happened in Episode 65 when going over Hidden Grotto Gligar, Gliscor's stats showed those of Mandibuzz.)

Funny thing is in competitive with riolu it got good use out of prankster with the move copycat and it copying roar forcing pokemon to switch out and just dying from hazards

Not exactly! It turns out that that interaction fails every other turn, and Pokemon Showdown had it implemented wrong for the longest time! Some tournament players used that there, and some matches would have definitely not gone the way they did if it wasn't wrong.

Sheer Force Landorus is really funny because it is also a really good user of *Gravity*. Being able to make opposing Pokemon susceptible to Sheer Force Earth Power is awesome! Also, the Life Orb is available too!

Oh and I forgot. Sheer Force Landorus-I wasn't _just_ good. It was banned to Uber in Smogon ever since its debut gen! While Landorus-T would stay as top dog in standard OU play... until Great Tusk and Kingambit in Scarlet and Violet showed up, alongside it losing useful moves. No doubt that Therian Form is still far better in official VGC Doubles play, though.

For what's essentially a minigame Dream Radar did contribute a lot to the Pokémon franchise: an easy way to get hidden abilities (dream world abilities back then) for certain mons, the future wife of a Pokémon professor and the flagship Pokémon of competitive battling (especially on Smogon ladder) for generations aka the cat man cloud force of nature lol!

Dream Radar was Landorus’s dream. Access to its hidden ability Sheer Force as well as its Therian Forme may just be the biggest buff ever given to something not named Pelipper, Torkoal, Politoed and Ninetales.

Some of my favorite things in Pokemon are the obscure side characters that appear as guides in spin off games. Burnet, Brigette, Nia from Pokken, Professor P from Trozei, Professor Mirror from New Snap, Amelia from Shuffle, Tetra from Picross, etc. Nobody ever remembers these characters and that's what's so fun about them. Hopefully we see them all again some day.

I find it interesting how Burnet was handled in the anime. In the games, Kukui and Burnet are already married from the start. In the anime, they're together but not married, Kukui proposes later in the show, and we get to see their wedding.

I just had a goddamn epiphany while watching the Dream Sigilyph bio. Sigilyph's Synchronoise can only hit for neutral (on Flying) or not very effective (on Psychic). Tinted Lens, however, makes it so it hits neutral on Psychic-types instead. They DEADASS gave Sigilyph a Hidden Ability that exists mainly to buff Synchronoise. I tell ya, someone at Game Freak REALLY loved Synchronoise and wanted it to be good so badly.

Something I'd like to note with Rotom specifically is that ever since Gen 5, Rotom's alternate forms now change Rotom's type from Ghost to whatever move it gains from the form. And since the ability doesn't change with its forms, Fan Rotom is the only Pokémon to have a double immunity to a single type (and it can be a temporary TRIPLE immunity if for whatever reason you give it an Air Balloon to hold).

Baton Pass Magnet Rise on it for more Ground immunity.

A couple corrections/add ons: 1. Just like Lucario, Gallade gets Justified. Also, the Ralts line isn't available in the main story of Black 2/White 2, so kinda wish you went over them in more detail 2. The secret extensions can be accessed from the very start, but you are limited to three per day 3. Sacred Fire is physical, and is Ho-Oh's best physical fire moves 4. The legendaries are one per save file on both Dream Radar AND Black 2/White 2. If you want multiple of those Legendaries, you have to restart both games

​@@luizeduardogueths8255I just tested it with Megaman 2 because I have it on a different system. You can delete the software from your system and then re-download them from the e-shop. Haven't done it with dream radar, but I imagine it's the same. In that case you should select not to make a copy of the save data so that you can get the legendaries again

Worth mentioning is that Riolu’s hidden ability actually *changes* on evolving, to Justified. If you want Prankster, it has to remain a Riolu. On the other hand, Justified is fantastic on Lucario, being a quad resist in this game.

I almost forgot Burnet debuted here as well. She went from a character who only appears in a DLC to being a supporting character in Sun and Moon, the wife of Professor Kukui, and in the finale of the Sun and Moon anime, it was revealed she was pregnant and later became a mom in Journeys to a boy. Yep, her and Kukui canonically banged in the anime!! It's actually kind of cool to see minor characters have bigger roles in later things. Burnet is definitely no exception to that.

Thundurus-Therian is one of my favourite Pokemon despite having used it very little! I was always very fond of the Pokemon Dream Radar as I did have a bit of an infatuation with the 3DS AR when it came out. It's super cool to have all this information in one place, good work!

The alternative formes of the Genie Trio are actually based around the four Guardian Beasts. Thunderous is based on Seiryu, the Azure Dragon. Tornadous is based on Suzaku, the Vermillion Bird. Finally, Landorus is based on Byakko, the White Tiger. Legends Arceus introduced a fourth, female Genie who has an alternate forme based on Genbu, the Black Tortoise/Warrior.

A point about Riolu. When Riolu evolves into Lucario Prankster becomes Justified, which does make Lucario a really good answer to Dark types. Switch in, quad resist the incoming Dark type move (Remember that in this gen Steel resisted Dark) and gain a free +1 attack boost.

The Riolu bio is a little lacking. The hidden ability is only prankster as a riolu, strangely enough. It becomes Justified after evolution, which is probably better since Lucario's abilities suck, albeit a whole lot less interesting than prankster. In terms of applications for prankster Riolu, they're limited, but there are some funny gimmicks you can do with priority Copycat, such as using it to copy your own Roar while you have entry hazards down to slowly whittle down the enemy pokemon without giving the enemy any opportunity for recourse

Given that Lucario has a quadruple dark resistance in gen 5, if you can predict it coming it's great! 23:08 Do note that if your Ralts is male and you choose to evolve into Gallade, the hidden ability will change from Telepathy to Justified! It may not be as useful as it i son Lucario given that Gallade is only neutral to Dark rather than resisting it, but it still has its uses! 25:46 Those are not the stats of the Therian forme they are the stats of the Incarnate form! Landorus Therian's stats are as follows: HP: 89 ATTACK: 145 DEFENSE: 90 SPECIAL ATTACK: 105 SPECIAL DEFENSE: 80 SPEED: 91 38:35 This is ignoring the fact that Sheer Force Landorus is ONE OF THE MOST ABSURDLY BROKEN SPECIAL ATTACKERS OF ALL TIME!!! I've said it before, but this add-on is incredibly overlooked and under-appreciated. The fact that it gives you the opportunity to get some great pokemon- including legendaries- before the first gym is absolutely insane.

I somehow didn't think about the Dream Radar when this series started, but yeah, it makes sense. So glad I already had this before the eShop shut down (And that I got my ex to buy it). I might eventually do a playthrough of this game with just the Dream Radar mons, cause that sounds fun. Also, yeah, the fact that they actually gave Burnet a role in the main games two generations later is still really cool to me. They could have just made up a new character all together, but no, they gave this existing side character some extra love. Another little detail is that she got a bit of a tan after moving to Alola. Lol.

Would you happen to know hiw to reset your save data as suggested at 51:15 since you can't redownload the game?

@@Shnarfbird I imagine you just need to delete the save data from the 3DS settings, but I haven't ever done that with a game, so idk 100%. That being said, you *can* redownload stuff you already own despite the 3DS eShop being dead. Not sure how long that'll be a thing for, but it is a thing for now.

Thank you so much for all the work you did putting this together! I have never experienced anything with regards to the dream radar, it was fun learning so much about pokemon that I never knew about!

man i remember spending so much time playing this back in the day! i would take my 3ds everywhere so getting playcoins often was very helpful

It's fun to learn things about Pokémon. I had no idea about those hidden extensions - Regenerator Slowbro is so good! I also didn’t think about wiping the save data to get all of these Pokémon again. Got to give that one a try sometime. I have this game on two systems, but it's a shame that so many people just won't get to buy it.
