I bought an external battery pack and shorter USB C cable for $50 and tossed the long cable. Velcro'd the pack to the underside of the Mini and no cables to trip over.

He was wrong about just mounting it in any orientation outside. You need to use your phone app to align it to capture the minimum amount of satellites since they're all moving around. You will need to then realign it anytime you move the antenna. Otherwise, the amount of data could be severely hampered or cut off completely.
