EVERYTHING at NärCon 2023 - Biggest COSPLAY Event in the Nordics

NärCon is the biggest cosplay and gaming convention in the Nordics as well as northern Europe. 13 000 geeks gather every year at the NärCon Summer event to share their love of everything geeky - and this is a look at everything you could see at NärCon 2023.

This video gives you an overview of what you can find at NärCon, from games to meetups, and from panels to competitions and performances. But most of all, there is an absolute ton of cosplay!
Watch cosplayers from games and movies and anime, and listen to more (or less) interesting interviews with cosplayers from all over the world. I can't promise that I'm always serious, but I can promise that I share everyone's love for everything geeky and pop culture.
In this video I also show you a bit of merchandise, the artist alley, and various activities going on at the festival. I also pay special attention to a Genshin Impact meetup for very selfish reasons. And let's no forget the Shark Wave (or is that Sharkwave?) event taking place at NärCon every year! Finally, let's not forget the rave and the other activities happening after dark. Such as the very exclusive Cosplay Ball.

This video was absolutely lovely! And you seem like a delightful person the way you interract with these wonderful cosplayers! 💖 Great nerd representation! Fun trivia: At 6:28, you can see a staffmember ride a kickbike/scooter and trip behind Team Johnny Bravo. Me and my sister are helping them up (dressed as Ingo and Emmet from Pokémon Black & White). The fall looked really scary and we were worried they had hurt themselves, but they were okay (and reassured us that they've had a LOT of tumbles during the event and this was not the worst).

Glad to hear that everything went well. I guess I can miss stuff in the background now and then. When I made a video about Gävle someone in the comments mentioned "Is that a guy peeing on a wall behind you?!" - I had completely missed that!

Hehe, I feel like all subcultures are like that - an enormous amount of energy and time into things that just that group of people understand. Everyone else just goes "whoa, that's so cool - but how do they find the time?!" Cheers!

I was really blown away by a lot of these costumes! I've visited a couple of events in the UK, and I still think that the Swedish cosplayers are just...insanely committed in comparison.
