Their first two albums are SO underrated. After all these decades, I listen to them on a very frequent basis. Both are extremely talented in different ways.

Brilliant performance - good to see Tracey in full Morrissey mode! I miss the OGWT nearly as much as I miss EBTG

It’s just the 80s up North. Everyone looked like that 🙂

Great stuff! Really dig the faster tempo, guitar sound/tone, great bass playing, the key work from Ben, etc. Cool clothing style for all the members as well. Even though they’re just touring musicians, they all seem to work great as a unit :)

A bit more upbeat song, love the beat and the organ sound a la Ray Manzarek, The Doors, Tracey vocal as always just sublime, great backing band.

this set on the OGWT comprised of Native land and Frost and Fire but also Easy as Sin with Ben on vocals. like fuck can i find it anywhere on youtube. ive got the whole set on VHS somewhere but after scrolling through about 20 tapes of about 50 i give up. Bens version of Easy as Sin is beautiful!!

No precise singing, like a beginner. Bad performance.... (Typical eighties. And trying like The Doors but sounding like a B-Class amateur band.

Ill take her singing over any auto-tuned, thrown together by committee at a record company meeting, band. Any day. These days far too many bands are thrown together in talent show on the telly. Here today. Gone tomorrow. Justin Beaver, ahem, Bieber, anyone?

The only thing typical is the aesthetics in this performance. EBTG are simply otherwise amazing - a band that was one of the sophisti pop pioneers and later moved on to a more electronic but not less amazing sound. Of course, T. T. is not a vocalist, but was a very good choice for what the band needed. You don’t listen to Everything but the Girl if you are looking for big and technically brilliant vocals. That however does not deprive the band of their unquestionable value.
