I started vaguely listening to everything but the girl in 1991 as a drummer this style of music really captured me and what a treat to listen to Tracy's voice in the collaboration with Ben but the song that did it for me was the intro to driving it has such an emotional impact of that time for me with my ex in a good way it really helped me through some hard times thank you EBTG

I absolutely love Everything But The Girl as they are one of my favorite bands. They are underrated and far underappreciated, especially here in the United States. I was fortunate enough to see them live in NYC twice, once at Roseland Ballroom and the other time at Hammerstein Ballroom. Tracey's voice is like heaven. This song got me into Womack & Womack as they wrote this tune for their "Starbright" album released in 1986. I also love Womack & Womack, but I feel the EBTG cover version is far superior than the original. However, you should still check out Womack & Womack's version, as well as some of their other popular songs such as "Teardrops," "Love Wars" and "Baby I'm Scared of You," all of which can be found here on KZbin.

Indudablemente esta cantante Tracey, ha adoptado el estilo de Sade la cantante ochentera......La voz suave potente y la delicadeza romántica que sólo la sexi Sade sabía hacer al interpretar. Si no me creen, escuchen a Sade su canción "Your love Is King" donde Sade solía utilizar el saxofón y coros y cantaba risueñamente el Jazz romántico. read tracey thorns book. it was a big budget production recorded in america with notable session musicians of the period. she didn't feel worthy in their company. it introduced me to them and i love it so i was disappointed that she didn't feel quite the same about the album that so many fans do.
