This song was my lullaby for my kids when they were younger. This and Apron Strings remind me so much as the songs that mark my early mom years.

This is so special. Upbeat almost a country twang to Ben’s arpeggios; both happy - No one can phrase a line like Tracy...Tracy with her melancholy voice, so rare they smile and almost laugh together at 0.54. There’s a unique sex appeal to Tracy sad eyes, in her voice and intelligent lyrics. How she is a feminist and still sexy !!

Ha ha, and Ben's in on it too! 0:54, then 1:51 .... Whatever it is you've got me smiling too!! Love Ben's sweet guitar picking throughout the song, And of course Tracey's sweet voice, what can you say. Would love an extended/enhanced version of this - like maybe 7, 8 minutes or so... maybe I'll have to do it myself! Ok, my favorite songs are Love is Strange & Looking for Love, now I've got a 3rd favorite! (yeh, along w/ a few others ;-)

Love that these two stayed together sooo many years, through life threatening sickness of Ben (his memoir); In Tracy’s memoir she recounts they were fighting in Japan...took separate rooms..,then an earthquake...she runs out panicking to check on Ben! ❤️

Tracy’s poignant lyrics: You're only two and the whole wild world revolves around you, And nothing happened yet that you might ever wish to forget. It doesn't stay that way, if I could I'd make stay that way. And this you will recall in after years, Though you may weary of this vale of tears - These days remember, always remember. You're only two and I've no wish to worry you, So pay no mind to those who say the world is unkind - That's just something they've read, And if I could I'd strike them dead. And this you will recall in after years, Though you may weary of this vale of tears - These days remember, always remember. And honey there's no rush, The world will wait for you to grow up. And this you will recall in after years, Though you may weary of this vale of tears - These days remember, always remember. I hope you never change, I'll call you Jimmy, they call you James; Don't ever change, I'll call you Jimmy, they call you James.

@@robertbeabout44They didn’t have kids until ten years after this song came out. I figured it was about a nephew or the son of a friend. We may never know. Great song though.
