Ster Chess No, there's no electronic wobble attempting to correct a note outside of the scale.....his voice is allowed to swoop without it correcting anything on the way up or down....there are no giveaways that this is autotuned. Can you pinpoint a moment where you hear autotune being used?

When arch-enemy came out I was worried because I thought surely I can't love this band on the same level forever, but I was wrong and it's my new favourite. This is also the best live performance I've seen from EE on KZbin (and I've seen a lot) I'm so happy and excited for August!

Okay so let me try and make this into a coherent question. Jon the lyrics you write always tend to be around quite deep either personally, emotionally, politically or metaphysically. Topics being pretty heavy ect, however even though the music is damn powerful and fits incredibly well over the lyrics, I would say almost misleading as a lot of EE tracks are quite upbeat and things you can groove to. So the question is just why the mismatch, is it a conscious decision ?

If you’re making music within the sphere of pop (so often saturated with lyrics as inspiring as an overheard convo at spoons) exploring more brooding, philosophically-rich, meta, politically on point mad creative shit whilst making dance-y tracks is so refreshing and Jonathon Higgs does it so well, plus people enjoy the irony of cheerful melancholia, like The Smiths.
