Why is it so difficult to understand that in this day and age, "leaks" are probably the best way to build hype for a product without spending a dime on ads. If Nintendo was feeling threatened by this, they would have come out and made a statement yesterday - but, they haven't, probably bc they're the ones who greenlit the controlled leaks to begin with. Mouse in joy cons seems pretty awesome, Gamexplain did a video about the possibilities. Some pretty trusted leaker hinted about this (some new feature) a while ago: "think lasers". That leaked joy con is real which seems to have that "mouse eye". I'm pretty sure it's there and there could be something else too.

I think the c button on the right joy-con can mean numerous thing. It can stand for cast which allows dual screen gameplay, and it could also stand for channel when navigating the game and menu screens and the home screen including apps and software installed on it.

I'll say this again and I hope people listen: STOP WISHING FOR MORE POWER! The Switch 2 will use a Tegra T239. A medium range SOC from 2018. Current mid-tier smartphones are already a lot more capable than the Switch 2 will ever be. The ONLY thing helping Nintendo here is frame gen capability and DLSS 3 that will be supported. In fact, Nintendo filed a patent for frame generation technology. I don't know why they would do that seeing as DLSS is top tier right now, but that's the performance that the PS5 and Xbox Series X can't pull off. Just look at FSR3 and DLSS 3.1, the frame gen thing craps all over the image and introduce loads of latency issues. However, it easily doubles and many times triples the performance. Nintendo will finally rely on software to deal with bad optimizations, lack of support from devs and create a standard "image", albeit a fake one, for the console. I'm sure the performance will be great, but if my Snapdragon Gen 3 supported DLSS, I would also be able to game in 4k30fps easily on my phone from LAST YEAR. The fact that I run Genshin Impact a lot better than the PS4 does is already crazy to me. With MSAA and at 120fps. 4 to 5hr of gameplay easily. Xiaomi 14. Btw, my Xiaomi 13 from 2022 also ran genshin at 120fps but not all cranked up snd without MSAA. PS4 Pro levels of performance. I don't expect any less for the switch 2. However, frame gen will crap all over the image. Checkerboarding would be a much easier and less costly solution, but Nintendo doesn't invest in hardware anymore. So... It all falls down on the laps of Nvidia.

and everything the leaker has stated about ff9 remake has been wrong so far. The leak for ff9 remake was almost 3 years ago. They stated it would be announced 3 months after the leak(wrong), they stated it would release a few months after announcement(double wrong), they said it would be one complete game not on the scale of ff7 remake, what has square enix stated in interview that if they decided to remake ff9 it would be multiple parts so again wrong. every time someone says when its going to be announced wrong. During that time there was never any credible leaker claiming it would be announced within 3 months of that. There have been a ton of 4chan "leaks" that would appear everytime we got close to a gaming showcase which were quickly proven to be just nobodies throwing out BS like 4chan always does. Epic Games also had a recent datamine showing a codenamed project that likely referneces a Tetra Master microtransaction. The same people claimed they knew when its going to be announced WERE NOT the same people that found credible NVIDIA/Epic Games datamines to begin with. Thinking every leak and rumor that came out about a potential FF9R were from the same source is laughably ignorant and reflects bare minimum effort on your end to even research the topic.

This new Joy-Con leak matches up with the leaked CAD models from Nintendo shipping data from 3 months ago as well as the Switch 2 motherboard leak that came out a few days ago. 💯 that’s a mouse. And with the magnets I can imagine accessories where the joycon can drop in to a mouse like shell for better ergonomics too. And, given the chipset rumours and AI upscaling. Wouldn’t be outside the realms of possibility if it supported something akin to a Bluetooth keyboard too. Have it docked for FPS or RTS games. Similar to the Legion Go. They’ve clearly seen the way the handheld market is going. So why not. Makes too much sense it me

i am underwhelmed as this feels very like the wii u all over again, its not different enough to stand out and be special. i think they should have changed the colour scheme for it to a green colour , so switch one is the mario colour and switch 2 is luigi, this would make it feel like a different console and the games will stand out on the shelves as for a switch 2 only . console and joycons could be in green with blue. another idea would be to hype up three colours of console at launch, like in pokemon when you would pick based on the starter type. they could come out with a new console which is bundled and themed with one of two/three games , like mario, zelda or pokemon. so someone would want the zelda console, one would want the mario one, and it comes with the new game but the console is coloured or themed because of it, it would drive up hype for sure.

Not worth selling ahead of time. It's the most anticipated console and will be difficult to attain off the bat. The current switch will likely remain relevant for this entire year because of the sheer volume of games it has. Better to sell after you already bought the new switch. Unless being stuck without a system is something people are ok with.

I think that sensor really does look like a mouse sensor. If that’s the case, the functionality won’t work if it’s disconnected from the console. Why? Because it would be shining a laser out that could probably harm people’s eyes. I think this is going to be some kind of additional tracking information in collaboration with the Switch gyros to get more accurate positioning data.
