So far, season 4 is my favorite of the 5 seasons we have so far. The intensity, the dark tone, the music, animation, sound effects, EVERYTHING! Also, Ryu is best girl!

This is the ARC, where You understand: in this anime filled with amazing girls, there is only one for best boi Bell, and it is Ryu Lyon. Not Hestia, not Freya, not even Haruhime, sweet cinnamon roll. Only Ryu, only the Gale Wind. God, I am so fanboing over her, but she has a permanent place in my heart.

Love the video. Danmachi is one of my favourite series, so I love seeing it get the praise it rightfully deserves. But one little point I want to clear up is that it's based on a light novel. Rather than a manga. So, most scenes are drawn and animated solely by the studio.

There is an manga adaptation, but it is way behind the anime. The latest volume at my B&N was finishing up light novel volume 8, which was mostly cut from season 2. The manga I think also skipped the Apollo War Game. But considering season 5 is at volume 18 of the light novels, the manga has a ways to go.

This Season of Danmachi was fire from bugging to end , only a small bit was meh but it's only because plot most continued, yet it's a great season , that although lost iner monologues that were good and people talking that was funny it's really good

Two things 9:48 Its based on a ln, the manga was canceled in the Haruhime arc, it is still a very good illustration for a random enemy 23:03 I don't know if you remember but in season 1 the Loki family said they were going to explore the unexplored 59th floor, I mention it to put things in perspective

Now when faboying over best girl is over, I also wanted to say how big of a leap this season is. I loved the show since first episodes (remember silverback gorilla fight!? Chills, everytime) but this season put it in the upper echelon of shows I love. To be honest I would prefer Danmachi episode over a Solo Leveling episode. Only two light novels I already decided I'll read because of an anime- Danmachi and 86. And when somebody who loves anime to pieces puts Danmachi in the same sentence as 86, you should know. YOU SHOULD KNOW.

it was already coming from season 3 but man season 4 took it up a notch, best season to date for sure. I love how they went in on the horror/dark path and did it so well too, even now I still re-watch this season.

The OST originally appeared in the 3rd Anniversary of Danmemo: Astrea Record, a canon 3-part story with over 12 hours of content detailing the events of the "Dark Ages" 7 years ago centering around the Astrea Familia, Loki Familia, and Freya Familia. The OST was also later remixed for Season 3 of DanMachi, titled "Asterios."

So a big note in regards to this anime; this does not follow a manga's events. It actually follows a light novel, as that is the source material. It does also have a manga, however that is also just a simple adaptation like this anime is. I only just started watching from this and the first quarter for season 4, but I just figured I should point that out

Something that works very against danmachi is that it is based a lot on real mythology but does not explain it, for example that Hestia is a virgin goddess that Apollo tried to woo, or in this arc, Cassandra was a prophet with the curse that her Premonitions would always be correct but no one would ever believe him no matter what, and it is kind of annoying to see that he always gets it right but no one believes heer
