@@Koji-888 I’m pretty sure a lot of these vendors sell a set amount, return to shore, and come back. Proper sanitation is important or else you wouldn’t get customers once they found out you were using river water. Vietnamese society is very critical of this stuff, it’s no guarantee but I’d put my bets that >95% it’s not the case.

For anyone concerned with sanitation and eating in other countries I will let you know that, after years of working in fast food in America, if you're willing to eat at a restaurant here then you are much safer eating from a boat there. Do not kid yourself

I love how the first dish was served in a china bowl, although the vendor had to wait for you to finish to get the bowl back, it's better than giving it to you in a disposable container that would just get thrown away after. Plus it's a great way for the vendor to get customer feedback on their food!!!!

In india eating fruits like pineapple and ripe mango with red chilli powder and salt is very common especially in summer... Mostly in our grandparents houses there will be mango tree and whenever we visit them in summer we would pluck the raw and ripe mango and eat it with salt and chilli mix

My mum makes that salt and chilli mix but with some oil so it's liquidy and we call in noonmircha which directly translates to salt chilli and istg I love that stuff
