Honestly the main thing I want to see changed for the sequel is actual cutscenes again. I’m sick of these poor in-game rendered cutscenes where the characters movements are incredible wooden and robotic - it completely breaks the immersion for me. The older games nailed the cutscenes so I hope they go back to a similar style
@Kageravager10 ай бұрын
I think Mirage-esque games could take cues from immersive sims. The actions that you committed and your noteriety can affect future missions like more guards, different rewards, different enemy types and so forth. -The disguise mechanic from Liberation could also be overhauled. Certain disguises making it easier to get into places where the typical assassin/hidden one garb would cause either conflict or notoriety.

You mostly just described an Origins/Mirage hybrid. My main beef is to tighten up the controls. The demand for perfect animations and complex movement creates what I call the rubber band effect, where there's an elasticity between the controller input and character action. Tightening this up would enable the creation of more complex climb/jump sequences and also more challenging combat, without fundamental changes to the play.

As much as I loved the game, it had some issues that really frigging bothered me. So let me just make a list of what I'd like to see improved rq: - Better combat. The combat in Mirage is so 1 dimensional it's actually crazy. Add more animations, make it possible to fight more than one enemy at a time, give more options to countering enemies than just parrying, and make it easier to use gadgets more fluidly. - Cutscenes. The cutscenes are flawed in more ways than just animation. Sometimes there's like no audio pther than some grunting and the sound of characters getting stabbed. There needs to be more going on acoustically. The issues with the visual side of things are well documented, so I don't need to touch on those. - Parkour. I actually like the parkour quite a bit. I think they could pretty easily perfect the parkour by just improving the eject system, making it faster (specifically Basim's sprinting), and adding more animations. Everything else that could be improved isn't as important to me as those core issues.

I feel like we need to have a game explaining the transformation from the hidden ones to the assassins and the order of ancients to the Templars. We got to see the beginnings of the Templars in Valhalla but I feel like that needs to be expanded upon. That is the only necessary ac game that needs to be made but here are some other examples of ac games I and I think a lot of the community would like to see Aztec Empire/Spanish colonialism Haytham game WW1? Maybe see the beginnings of Abstergo Modern day game I feel like the modern day would be interesting because I’ve had this idea of what if, ignoring the comics, Juno possesses dead Desmond. There is no shortage of creativity that can go into this series.. They are only limited by their own creativity..

Parkour in recent AC games feels really sticky. Like I feel like I can never do what I wanted to. Its slow, and the character often locks onto exactly where I don't want to go and frequently gets stuck on a low wall, table, box, whatever, instead of just letting me keep flowing in my run. This isn't exclusive to the recent games, it happened occasionally in the older games too, but in those it felt way easier to continue the flow of movement even if you did get stuck for a second because everything else was so smoothe. Mirage minimizes the sticky feeling of the parkour, but it very much is still there as I'd expect from something with such a short development window and using an unsuited engine for it. What I'd like to see is Bordeaux be given charge of future stealth focused games. It'd be nice if they'd get to have input on whatever engines they need to use as I feel like that team would do the best in making a game with the classic feel.

I want an AI rework in line with the first few games so that they are versatile and aggressive enough to chase you across the map again. I absolutely miss when chases actually felt like a challenging part of the gameplay loop, since it wasn't so easy to get away from them in AC1. Mirage has small additions that I loved, but ultimately felt lacking simply because the guards have a hard time chasing you, and that is the collapsing structures and the Notoriety system. I love that civilians can point you out to the guards, or that guards can be called over if you pickpocketed someone, but it just doesn't seem as fleshed out as it could be.

I think that to improve Mirage, that is the best AC since Black Flag/Revelations in the complex, the only one thing linked with the parkour sistem should have changed: The Control Sistem, I miss the puppet things, moving hand, combat hand, feet and head, but more of that, I miss the Low/Higj Profile sistem, that helps with the parkour, if you use low profile the parkour is more metodical, with high profile is more fleshy and appealing, like in Ac2, and the high/low profile is prominent also in stealth, the only problem with that in mirage is that if you kill someone with the Hidden Blade, the animation could be not Stealthy at all, so its easier to be discovered, while in AC1 amd also Ezio's and Arno's games ,if you kill in low profile the people around you, it seems like the enemy had a failure, so it's very stealth, while if you perform in high profile the killings are more spectacular and fast and they have a function when you have to kill the main target and also when you have to kill faster a rooftop guard Despite that i really love AC Mirage, one of the Best of the Series, I hope that Ubisoft Bourdaux work in HEXE or in another AC (maybe in Ancient Rome With Aya or Napoleonic War with Arno) when they could link the old lore with the new one, like they've done with AC 1/Rev and Mirage.

@@QuatarTarandir I came up with the concept for an AC game for a university project a few years ago using that setting. The protagonist would be a rookie mafia gangster named Elsa Cormac, who would be a moonshiner, snuggling booze for the american mafia before being recruited by the American Assassin Brotherhood in Chicago, with Al Capone being one ally to both Elsa and the Assassins, while the Templars control the police and government, being the ones who enacted the probabition laws. The narrative would tackle women's suffrage and organised crime, and overall be a very different kind of AC game, more investigation based, as well as focusing on social stealth as opposed to parkour, aside from certain action set pieces, and overall have the vibe and tone of a 1940s noir film.

I respectfully disagree with keeping the core of the combat. I agree with what you said needed to be added, but I don't think it was good as a whole, though still much better than what we've gotten recently. I'd personally like to see the return of a combat system similar to what was present in unity. Unity's combat system likely would have been the best in the series if it was a little more refined. Like many other things in the game, combat was very unpolished even after patches, but it had great potential, seeing this system return in a potential mirage sequel would be really cool. I also feel the detection system needs to be addressed, it was better than Valhalla but that's not difficult to achieve. It was still very inconsistent and unresponsive at times. Also, I hate that it's possible to have the assassination option not come up and then swing your sword because of that and get instaspotted, in fact, that's exactly how your stealth run video ended in this game. If you aren't in combat, swinging your weapon as if you were in combat shouldn't be possible for that exact reason. And also, this is just my opinion, I don't expect you or everyone else to fully agree, I just feel personally like these things need to be addressed.

So I havent played Mirage yet. Anyhow I really liked the idea of Valhalla where you could choose the stealth difficulty and since I have always felt like AC stealth could be a little more difficult/unforgiving I would love to see in all future AC games a "real" option for difficulty in the stealth system. This would include for me that if enemies see me killing a guard 300m away, they dont just stand around, but alarm the others. I would like to see soldiers be more communicative in general. I always thought it was weird having enemies that need 3-4 business days to figure out that this strange entity with a hood on doesnt belong into their military camp. And than completly forgetting about me after I hide in a haystack that they have seen me enter. But yeah maybe these are unrealistic expectations to have of a game. Anyone else ever felt that way about AC stealth or am I needlessly autistic?
