I also want to add that in addition to hormonal imbalances, a vitamin D deficiency can also cause hair thinning. Where I live, Vitamin D is not tested in standard bloodwork panels with your family doctor, so I didn’t realize I was deficient until I was referred to an endocrinologist. I have been taking Vitamin D supplements for over a year now and they have completely restored my hair. (please get tested first before taking supplements)
