I would not do the crisscross applesauce. I would just have them sitting however they want, as long as the kids in the back can see.

I talk about this a while back. I start off with crisscross, to teach the kiddos about personal space. Once that understand, then we have the option of the “mountain”, “mermaid, and “crisscross”. While these are the ways for them to sit and keep their first safe, if students can’t do those well I do provide them with flexible seating in the classroom 🤗
