I literally LOL @18:41 you are so right! You’ve seen one and you’ve seen them all just different iterations although I do wonder how different yours look compared to Texas 😬 (that’s where I work).

Hedgehog fibers will take your leftovers and based on the weight, you can get a coupon for their yarn. It isn’t domestic, though, and you do have to pay the shipping to get it to them. Super fun to find your channel! ❤️

Happy new year Emily, enjoyed your podcast today got some good ideas for knits this year. I think as knitters we should never compare ourselves to others because we all knit at different paces and have different skills loved all your knits even the one that was huge😊. I am amazed at all the wonderful knits out there ❤ I am 76 and want to knit more and more so thank you for sharing and am looking forward to this year and seeing what you knit, dye and spin. 😊

I think you should put the tweedy bits in a photo frame. I think it would be a nice design element on the wall. I had never seen that before and I think I'm going to do that!

Thanks! Enjoyed seeing new patterns. I put a lot of yarn scraps in a suet holder for the birds along with some wool fleece for building nests. Then I saw our neighbourhood squirrel running by with a mouthful of wool! So adorable

I enjoyed your recap! I knit the Find Your Flock sweater by Brienne Moody. It's worsted weight. There's 2 versions. I did the one with just the feathers so it only used 2 colors, but it could be a nice pattern to still get the feather vibe.

Hi Emily, Happy New Year!!! What a wonderful podcast, congrats on all your amazing knits this year, I laughed out loud when you tried on the Tecumseh - hilarious!!! You inspired me to knit the wild flower tee by Tif Neilan and it’s actually one of my favorite knots this year, since that I’ve knitted a few more of Tif’s patterns and just love her patterns. Thank you for a wonderful year of podcasts, you are one of my go to podcasts to watch whilst I knit. Here’s to many more in 2024🥂 🎉

Happy New Year! I recently found your channel and am loving it. I've been mainly a crocheter but have really gotten into knitting this past year and am planning to knit up my first sweater in 2024. I don't know if you do Amigurumi, but a lot of people will use their little scrappy bits as stuffing material instead of batting. This way, it gets recycled into other projects with minimal effort.

There are lots of beautiful sweater patterns inspired by nature from Finnish designers. For example colorwork patterns Metsänpeitto by Jenna K. or Metsä-paita by Lee Esselström. Niina Laitinen has both colorwork and lace patterns. I knit her Ikkunaprinsessa last summer and I love it!

TWEED QUEEN!! Enjoyed your recap and thoughts on your makes! Happy for you that you'll be frogging that Tecumseh and re-using the yarn. Stratified by Tif Neilan is a worsted weight pattern that uses more than 3 colors but you could just alternate the colors in the different sections as you see fit with 3. Coloring Book Raglan by Aimee Sher is a worsted weight pattern that has one main color and then stripes so you could do the stripes with the 2 CCs. Happy New Year Emily!~Stephanie

Your Tecumseh you said you Knit in worsted weight? I thought the pattern calls for DK? Is that possibly why yours turned out so huge?
@nadinedetain6765
@nadinedetain6765 7 ай бұрын
I do not understand how the sweater to be frogged could end up so huge. People knitting top down claim this is a great way to knit as you Can try thé garment on as often as necessary.

It grew quite a bit after blocking! And, through the yoke and chest I liked the fit, but once I added the arms, the writing was on the walls. I learn with every pattern 😊.

Why not frog it back to the yoke and calculate how many stitches you need to have a chest measurement with less ease?
