to everyone doubting they can make the songbird mittens: it really looks SO MUCH more difficult than it is! I consider myself pretty awful at colorwork, but got too inspired by Celine and just had to buy the pattern. Thought about it way too long... cast on to make a beanie with the pattern and oh my goodness... 2 evenings later it was cast off and blocked. If my dumb ass could pull it together so can you! Trust yourself!

lol this cracks me up! What yarn and colors did you use? Now im tempted ❤to
@specialsnail41836 сағат бұрын
@TSUNAMI-MAMI I used DROPS Lima with navy blue as color 2 and white as background color. Should have switched them around in all honesty, but got too excited about it working to unravel 🤣😂

I really loved the petiteknit dress you made-it's so lovely! I think I’ll try knitting one for my friend’s daughter too. About the cashmere: yarn in natural colors (all shades of beige, gray, and natural white) is usually softer and fluffier than dyed yarn, especially in bright colors. I wouldn’t recommend knitting cashmere too densely,the fibers need enough space to bloom. From my experience, cashmere becomes fluffier and softer with each wash (but always hand wash, of course). I hope this helps a little!"🫶

Great round up- your projects are fantastic! I needed something quick and easy today to use up stash yarn so have cast on a baby jacket for a friend who’s due imminently. It also has a cute bunny hat to match which I might make. It’s a free Bernat pattern on ravelry which is a bonus 👍 This year I want to finish some of my million WIPs and use my enormous stash- but you have made me want to try out Cardiff Cashmere- bad influence (in a good way 🤣) I really enjoy watching your podcasts- informative without being repetitive. Thanks for your time and effort creating content- and please never stop!!

Hi Celine. Happy New Year. I am thinking you Maggie Cardigan might need some support under those buttons. I think small clear buttons behind them might do the trick. I am also a sewist. Good luck. Beautiful color.

2025-baby gifts, sock gifts, sweater and vest for my husband, more socks for him, some crochet, some sweaters and summer tops for me. Hope to knit mostly from stash since I bought ALOT of yarn in 2024. Maybe a test knit or two if I get selected .

I am currently knitting the amy slipover by sandness garn! It was the item that i wanted to make the most last year and finally casted it on in October and then gift knitting came over me and haven't touched it in weeks 😅 I also knitted the songbird mittens as a gift and they were easy to knit but my tension was all over the place 😂

Sukie sweater is sooo cute and absolutely would be worn by sukie. I have this image of her wearing a berry red cardigan that looks like a cross between your modified Maggie and the sukie/bubblegum and like a red headband. Also season six is v chaotic. I often skip ahead or go back to the beginning when I like them better. But the boyfriends get better further along so idk win some lose some 😂

Thank you for sharing so many facets of your knitting life. You are truly inspiring and so positive! I’ve been busy knitting three ranunculus, two long sleeve and one short sleeve. I also was on the small scarf trend and made several mohair versions - Simply Irresistible- Mohair Ascot, Sweet L’il Scarlett’s and the Sophie Scarf. I also did a tweed Grab & Go Scarf that I love. Right now on my needles is the Fat Fur Hat knit in a tube with two strands of mohair - when complete it gets folded half inside and folded up making four layers on the brim, hopefully warm! Thanks for sharing your needle kit and accessories as well. I’ve invested in a few things like the pale needles on the swivel interchangeable cords. Love them! Happy New Year!

My knitting intention for 2025 is to...frog more. Basically I want to be more ruthless and frog my unworn/lesser worn projects and reuse the yarn instead of buying new yarn for new projects. 😁
@wrendymion18 сағат бұрын
My plan for 2025 craft-wise is to finish the main WIPs I've got sitting around - a scrappy shawl, the second of a par of handwarmers, an old chunky lace acrylic blanket, a crochet cardigan (so nearly done! I just have to crochet the second sleeve and then I can assemble and do the button band and hem), and my first attempt at a knitted jumper. I do have a few other wips but I barely started them so they're not counted :joy: After that I want to start on my knitting wishlist, beginning with the Field Sweater in Malabrigo Silky Merino, possibly held with mohair I haven't decided. I'd also like to knit my boyfriend a polo shirt at some point. Other that that, I want to get consistent at the gym, start reading again, and start practicing guitar/cello regularly. Right now I'm doing guitar during my lunchbreak and would like to do the cello on the weekends. So, you know, not much. I think the key is not to panic and try to do it all at once. We'll see.

You're so inspiring! My goal is still to knit my first sweater. I began knitting four years ago but have only made scarves and hats using knit along videos. I've found and favorited so many pieces via this channel but am disappointed when I buy a pattern that I'm not able to understand it and the teachers I work with don't know how to read the newer patterns either. I would love any recommendations anyone might have for sweater knit along videos or something very easy to follow. That is my knitting goal for 2025!

Nice WIPs! I was wondering why you knit with two strands. Is there an advantage to this over knitting single strand in the designated pattern weight? I just got back into knitting and I have noticed this trend.

been waiting for this one!! your 2023 knits video got me back into knitting and ive had so much fun this year :)) i'm a pretty slow knitter and currently a student so I didn't finish too much this year, but I did finish a red ranunculus blouse, black aura top, and a pair of fingerless gloves I knitted with some wool i bought while traveling in Iceland! currently working on blouse no. 1 by my favorite things knitwear and breezy longsleeve by kisskiss.rhinestone (which i think you'd love if you haven't knit it yet). for 2025, the Ophelia top and blouse by Tamara Jordan in dusty artichoke pure silk by knitting for olive is top of my list!! xxx
