A lot of knitters are watching other knitters on KZbin and repeating what they here. Every podcast is starting to sound alike. Where are the individual knitters for 2025?

I think Farandole by Christine Levesque (a cardigan pattern) would also perfectly fit in this category, I haven’t knit it yet but I bought yarn!🧶 😊

I heard about this book on another podcast but your descriptions make me want to buy it!!😂 love all the patterns so much. I read off the patterns in PDF on my iPad. I am currently knitting Shona top by Irene Lin in linen. It’s summer here in Australia. Big hugs to all USA people suffering fires and big political changes too! Thank goodness we have knitting! 😊

Lovely video, Celine! These patterns are not my aesthetic but they are gorgeous to look at. I'm currently knitting a modified Nulato sweater by Magdalena Parker, and I much prefer PDFs because I can use Acrobat to highlight and comment on sections to take notes.

I really liked this video, even if the patterns weren't my personal taste, just hearing your thoughts and what stood out to another knitter is always interesting! I typically look at patterns on my phone, but I LOVE pattern books. It reminds me of looking through fashion magazines with the added bonus of being able to make any garment that catches your eye 💞

Absolutely love your videos and your passion for knitting! 💖 It's always a joy to hear you share your thoughts. However, I personally felt this particular one seemed a bit more like an ad than your usual content. Maybe it's just my personal impression. Looking forward to more of your genuine insights and creativity in future videos!

I prefer printing a pattern out, espeically anything that's charted, but I often will just work from my phone. Right now I'm knitting Petite Knit's Novice Cardigan in two strands of mohair, one bright red and one dark pink, which meld togeting into a darker, slightly rosey red.

I knit a pair of socks in December that had bead-embellished snowflakes, and now I want to add beads to everything! I used a super tiny crochet hook (1 mm). It was fiddle-y, but not hard and I love the result. The orange tree pattern caught my eye; maybe yellow or orange on a cream background?

What a nice book; I like to print my patterns or work from books, I don't like to have them just on screen as I often take some notes; currently I am working on my seaglass cardigan and I am finally done with the sleeves, they took forever ... I really enjoy your videos.

Hi Celine! I usually don’t comment but I had to ❤ I got goosebumps and nearly teared up hearing you speak about the patterns and their inherited memories - made me think of my late grandma who taught me to knit and crochet when I was a little human 🥹 congrats to the talented designer Claudia but also props to you for your gentle, yet invigorating speech. Pretty sure you could sell me anything 😅 Greetings from Germany 🫶🏾

I decided to get back into knitting, and your reviews of the Stockholm and Ingrid patterns made me choose them as my first two wips. Just a quick question, what size of Stockholm did you knit? I chose XS and have gotten a slightly small head opening (just finished the neckline yesterday before knitting the body in the round). I’m concerned I chose the wrong size, whoopsie. Otherwise the pattern is AMAZING. The attention to detail, the ease, really good! So thank you for the inspiration 🫶

I am an American, and, as far as I understand it, Brits will never say fall, but Americans will use both words, although we prefer fall. Perhaps I am biased, but I just think fall is such a lovely word. I love that it’s a simple word and that it’s about the leaves falling. It’s just so cute.

So many beautiful finished objects! I wish I was as productive at knitting as you are. 😊 41:32 The difference in bloom between the cardigan and the Songbird mittens probably has to do with the dye used. With the mittens, there was little to no dye (depending on the original color of the fiber for the brown, but brown in general doesn't require too much). However, with the saturated red for the cardigan, it takes a lot of dye. Dye not only changes the structure of the fiber (so it's less fluffy), but the weight (which is why you'll often get less yardage from darker balls of yarn even though the weight is the same as lighter ones of the same yarn). A little sidenote as to why this happens: Yarn companies choose a flagship color for a yarn line. They weigh and measure it. Those weight and length measurements go on all the labels and, from there, they legally only have to make sure one of those metrics (frequently weight, because that is cheaper for them) is fulfilled for the other shades. So, let's say they choose a flagship color that is Natural, with a weight of 50g and a length of 400m. The Red in that same line then only needs to be 50g, but its length might just be 325m. This is why variations in how many balls you need to complete a project, even in the same yarn, occur (something you sort of mentioned earlier in your video). Hope that info is helpful! 😊

I spent two months in Italy woofing ( volunteering on farms) and I was really hoping to find a farm that produced fiber from their sheep. I wasn’t able to find one this time but it’s still something I really want to do!!! Loved watching your Milan adventures.
