Everything I LIKE and DISLIKE about the 2024 Mazda 3 Hatch Turbo Premium Plus

I have a '23 AWD Premium sedan which is something that I believe is no longer available for '24 (naturally aspirated 2.5 with all of the goodies like Head Up Display) and I agree with most of your points. The steering is a non-issue for me, no complaints about the steering weight. Regarding visibility, I have no issues with the sedan but definitely a fair criticism for the hatch version, and the 12.7 gal fuel tank is also a fair criticism but one reason I like having the naturally aspirated powertrain (EPA rated at 35 mpg highway with AWD, I'm able to push 40 mpg on the highway).

The explanation about the fuel tank was worth a like by itself. Explains why I don’t see many of these out on the road on my commute.

The lack of heating on the top section is to encourage safe use of the steering wheel, so as not to get a forearm to the face if the airbag goes off in an incident. but hey if it does .....Then you won't need to complain about a lack of Steering wheel heating any more as your face, nose and or jaw will be broken :)

I'm still a bit worried about the GDI/turbo in colder climates. If you do longer trips and get it up to temp often it's fine but for shorter trips, these cars get blow by and the carbon build up over time. For me at that price, I'd look at a Lexus V6 on the used market. Even with 40,000 miles those cars can go another 160,000 or more if maintained well.

Some reviewers like the steering as opposed to loose and numb steering .

Steering doesn't need to be numb to have a lighter feel (or more assist at certain speeds).

Most are though ...many drivers prefer the feel of Mazda steering to the OK steering of many other cars IN THIS CLASS.@@CarsMadeSimple

Not a fan of the hatchback version of the Mazda 3. The way the car is shaped it looks like the hatchback was an afterthought. It's got the sedan look in the front and looks like they basically "merged" it (threw) the ass end of an SUV to the back of it.

Different strokes for different folks... I think the hatchback looks special, and has a real wow factor, while the sedan looks like a totally generic car.

Well Mazda has been hitting all time best numbers the last few years with this year lookin to be just as good. I see lots of Mazda 3's on the road every day so I think they are selling just fine.
