A little hello from Canada. Even at 64 years old, I still love driving a vehicle with a manual transmission and what's more, I like Mazda products. I have had a variety of vehicles with a manual transmission including a 2010 Mazda6 GS, a 2007 MX-5 GX, a 2019 Mazda3 GS sedan and I just purchased a 2024 Mazda3 Sport GT manual. 🙂 Still sad to see that in 2024, Mazda will only offer the manual transmission on the GT and not on the GS or even on the GX. Personally, I would have opted for a less expensive Mazda3 Sport GS as I don't need the sunroof, leather seats, 18-inch wheels etc...

The 24' 3's do enable Touch Screen functionality... But only with Apple Car Play... Also, since the 14' S Grand Touring Models you can set the door lock controls to unlock as you approach with the KeyFob and to lock when you walk away. You when you adjust the seat position and Active Driving Display, you can save the positions with the seat memory function. So when you press your button to get into your preferred seating position, it'll also adjust the HUD. One more hidden feature... When the vehicle is off and parked, Press the unlock button on your key fob 4 times and hold down on the fourth press, it will actually roll down all four windows! I currently have a 23' Premuim Plus Model. It's my third 3 after my 2010 Speed and 2015 S Grand Touring.

But the "paved" roads and streets where I live concern me even while driving vehicles that Have more ground clearance. Wonder if it's even possible to lift this Mazda. Not for something ridiculous like off roading. But just a 2" lift would be a huge difference. Thanks again. Great segment.

There's this mazda manual and the civic sport hatch manual. the civic doesn't have leather seats or heads up and makes less horse with its 2.0L. However, it does have port injection instead of direct. Also its ~$4000 less. But today you have to pay Honda tax which would most likely bring it to around this mazda OTD.

Excellent review and video style. This is going to be my next vehicle. Just one nit-pick... roundabouts; so few know how to drive them. You could have gone in front of the vehicle the Fed-Ex truck stopped for. Plenty of time and room. Roundabouts are so much better than stop signs... it's just that so many people wait longer than necessary that they end up becoming worse for traffic flow in practice. I think we'll get used to them. Until then, it's going to frustrate me even when I'm just watching from a computer chair... Cheers!
