I have been obsessed with getting my Etchr field case filled with the PERFECT supplies for a simple 3-day weekend lol. I always take way more than I need and then have very little time to use it, so am going as minimal as possible this time. A) love my Etchr journals they are my favourite. Honestly I’d slip one in your field case and one in your carry on, it wouldn’t hurt to have two tiny A6 journals on your trip (see why I have a hard time being minimal?), (B) I have watercolour pencils but hardly use them, i thought I would love them but haven’t put any real effort into learning how to use them the best. I do keep a couple of pastel pencils in my field case and love those for highlights. (C) I don’t know how you fit your pop up water container in your case!! I have one and can only use it with my larger bags. In my field case, I have a couple of silicon cupcake liners that I roll up and then use to hold a bit of water lol. (D) hope you have a fabulous vacation!

Glad someone else overthinks this stuff as much as me 😂 I think I will probably end up bringing both sketchbooks! They’re so tiny I might as well 🤷♀️ woah silicone cupcake contains is an absolutely genius idea! Going to have to investigate that as I can’t fit the Faber castel pot and the sketchbook at the same time…

Pack light! My vote is for landscape. And nice color choices, by the way! :)

Thank you! I’m probably going to end up visiting art supply shops in Europe and end up with more than I started with, let’s be honest 😂

I’m traveling Europe with hand luggage right now and my kit is suuper similar: same two Rosemary’s daggers, two other rounds, same muji pencil. I have more waterbrushes: in addition to regular round I’m carrying Kuretake flat 2-in-1 for having always clean water to wet the page. My palette is smaller - it’s tiny flat business card case from Art toolkit (ordered more to my hotel from Artemiranda while I’m in Spain and delivery is free, hehe). And I took two sketchbooks: A6 S&B portrait and also Moleskine A5 portrait because it’s quite flat and light, so it doesn’t add much to the bag weight but adds a bigger format if I miss it. Thank you for the vid, have a great holiday!

You’re never too old to learn. Start off with paper and pencil, look up beginner lessons on here, practice, practice and more practice and you’ll be addicted

Just paint and don't think too much about it, don't listen to others, you Can learn if you believe in it, and lastly don't compare your art to other artists- as they have more experience so obviously it's more beautiful and eventually yours will be too
