Great video! Thank you for sharing! I'm doing a 30 day art challenge using timelapse, but only one static shot. I think I will need to add more angles to make more interesting to watch. Please, if you visit let me know what you think. Thanks! :))

There was a video with different sketching exercises and one of them was to use your non dominant hand. Your result is much better than mine.

Pearl orange is a super duper color. By itself, heavily diluted, it is nice, but it really shines when mixed to liven up some other colors. Just a bit added to some warm earth tones for example. Buff titanium is on my top 10 for many reason. Mixing it in a gradient with quid Rose gives tons of tones, but it also can mix with a lot of different earth tones in small amounts. Pyrol scarlet is certainly not a primary dead on red. To me that is definitely an orange that leans a bit harder on red. If you use photoshop to produce pure 255, 0, 0 red, it won't be that. :)

love this. sometimes you can feel a presence via its absence. it's just what it is. it gets easier but it takes time.

Sorry I thought it was Batman at first haha. Then I heard your story and changed the whole mood in a good way. My grandmother also died just last month, and I'm glad I came across your video. I felt relief for some reason. Like a heavy feeling just gone. So, thank you

I like the results that other artists have when they combine watercolour with pastels, but I haven’t tried them because I really hate the feeling of rubbing my finger on the page to smudge them. The texture has always bothered me sooooo much. I completely understand your fingernails on a chalkboard reference.

A year ago found my old pastels (from A level Art) and did try them out, but I'm still not sure about them 🤣 still prefer watercolour. Beautiful landscape Josie 😊

Welcome to the pastel world. Now you can branch out and try pastel pencils and take a look at PanPastels too. A fixative can dull your work, but you can work over the top of it.

I've always wondered about using soft pastels with watercolor and now I have my answer. Let us know what you decide to use for a fixative Sounds interesting, not that I need any more art supplies at the moment but..... Thanks!

This insight is most helpful as a lot of my paint I squeeze out on the palette goes to waist. I have not ventured outside of a split primary palette still learning. I did purchase a Daniel Smith Gold Green. I hear premixed green can be troublesome but thought I would give it a try. Does anyone have an opinion on watercolor tubes versus blocks (forgot what they call them)? Peace, Love and good Karma to all
