You could Steek the sweater on the sides/arms. It’s scary but since you have a background in crochet a crochet steek might be doable. You’d steek it and mattress stitch the sides so it’s more slim.

That is an amizing idea! I will definitly try this. I will have to get over the fact that I'm cutting into a sweater😮😅

@UNRAVELED.STUDIOS if the arms are fine you could steek the middle of the front and back as an alternative.

Ah yes, finishing a project in a whirlwind of hyperfixation. Been there 😆 Your projects are all so cuuuuuute!! Also! While I can offer no expertise on the matter, you can absolutely shrink knits in the dryer. There's bound to be a tutorial somewhere!

So much fun to see what you made! And I like that you used yarn from Zeeman and see your colour combinations. I am knitting the Step by step sweater by Florence Miller (she also has a youtube tutorial with the free written pattern on Ravelry if you're interested). That's my second sweater. The first one was way too big and I gave that one to my boyfriend. I learned about gauge swatches and I think this time it will fit me. It's so much fun to learn!

Thank you! Gauge swatching is so important!! I've really learned my lesson 😅

Your muscle mommy vest is soooo….cool and yes it counts as a finished object in my opinion. Love your too-big V-neck tank is great too…something I would make for taking off the chill whilst wearing a light top. Your cabled top is quite an achievement….well done. Love that you play with basic styles.. it really is the only way to learn..I realise I have not knitted many patterns because of time and unravelling understanding the steps in the patterns…so now when I choose to start a pattern I take very small steps, keep trying on and vwala amazing progress. I would love to make a shrug and probably use 3mm hook as that is one of my favourite size hooks. Would probably take forever 🤔👀. You have been busy. Great sewing skills too. Thanks for sharing 😁. You could experiment with machine drying, warning‼️ very, very briefly by keeping a close eye on it. Not too hot… and see what happens. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice! I think we are going to handwash it with hot water and see what kind of effect it has on the sweater

Really nice to see natural fibres being used instead of acrylic for the knitting

You could also try doing a written pattern that also had a tutorial, so if written instructions seem unclear the video is there to clarify. I personally prefer written patterns, I get too distracted with video tutorials unless it's to learn a new type of stitch. And love the slipovers, I had planned on making a few this year and never got to them, hopefully in 2025 🤞🏾🤞🏾

Thanks for the tip! I was planning on making a few drops design patterns (with a lot of video tutorials) before I commit to trying a fully written one 😅
