I'm attending this event as a RUSFOR machine gunner, and this guide helped assure me that my kit wasn't complete overkill being a person of similar build. I'll see you on the battlefield, hopefully on equal footing EDIT: Somehow I survived! Not sure if I saw you, but hey, I managed to smoke 19 NATO dudes. My squad didn't like how slow I was tho. Hope I'll seeya again eventually

We need a Milsim event here in the Chattanooga Tennessee area. All we have are a couple of “arenas “ and all they do is CQB and it gets old fast. My husband is big in airsoft and loves the scenario gameplay with objectives with squads, platoons, companies, etc... of players.

You joke about the underwear and "no one tuning in for that" but honestly it's a subject that gets overlooked too frequently. I've had folks legit complain from being too sweaty or lacking support entirely at long events... Weirdly enough I love the shorter set of super thin compression underwear which offers plenty of support but also being thin allows for sweat to pass through and get off my body. Good in hot weather better in cold too. When your cold it can suck... When your wet and cold you don't get warm again. This can also apply to socks too. Old school tricks are 2 socks first is a nylon dress sock that will allow moisture and sweat to pass through to stay dry, then an wool socks over top to actually keep warm. Love the content and hope to see you again at another event!

Something I'll add to the change your socks comment. If your boots get wet and you need the change your socks, carry an extra pair of insoles too. Boots themselves tend to dry out, but the insoles can retain water, particularly foam insoles. Carry an extra pair and swap them with your socks. My .02.

If it’s insurable by the doj on a battlefield with frag then any airsoft field should be covered lol. But having a helo kit is definitely helpful.

field strip the mre more just the main meal, 2 snacks and thats it for space sake and weight sake, dont wear underwear pack extra socks instead, id keep the headlamp on my person or on my helmet just behind the rhino mount. id wear combat tops v the multicam tops less weight and more breathable, if you bring a combat top bring two because prickle heat sucks. extra boots incase one pair gets blown out / too wet. dont do wool socks it makes your feet sweat more. id ditch the sleeping bag in favor of a poncho with a poncho liner for space and weight sake itll be slightly worse at a sleeping bag but better as a blanket comboed with the sleeping mat. nothing is wrong with your kit, just some tips from a former infantryman that liked to save space and weight when i went to the field

I’m hoping the two I’m bringing should be enough, so don’t over-encumber yourself bringing a bunch of it’s too much hassle. But definitely have at least one backup for yourself! Looking forward to playing together. 🍻
