They are called safety eyes because they have a strong backing. I have used them for years, and even when I really needed to remove them they don’t budge. But with small children and small plastic piece is a risk no matter how secure so better safe then sorry.

Omg I found a piece of hair wrapped around my newborns toe! It was inside a footy pajama so I didn't notice for awhile. The toe was purple but I cut the hair off and he is okay. No one mentions these things!

I grew up having one of those blanket pushes when i was little, it was first my sisters that passed away at birth but then my mom gave it to me and I always held it close to my heart, it brought a smile to my face seeing something like it in this video❤

big sister tip for you from a fellow big sister, the second item you showcased, the one you were confused about, yes it is for the baby to hold and sleep with but here’s a pro tip (it also depends on the material used for the item) let your mom keep it close to her for a few days or sleep with it by her (sounds strange but trust me) because then her scent will be on the item so then when baby sleeps with it it’ll provide a sense on comfort. I hope this helps and congratulations on your new baby brother! also all there crocheted items look so cute! well done
