the premier just yarn from dollar tree is amazing for the price! I agree that finding cute colors is a struggle though. I've talked to employees before and they never know what colors they'll get in each week, so you just have to keep an eye out. I've found multiple shades of pink before though!

So cute! Other suggestions for the eyes: sew them with embroidery floss/yarn or crochet small circles. I crocheted a sock monkey for my niece when she was 2 or 3. Instead of using the plastic eyes, I crocheted little black circles.

idea to make the eyes stay: you can glue them in place with hot glue! A lot of crocheters actually do this when they're making things for kids, but it would also be usefull in this situation!

I love this dollar store crafting series! I think bending the ends of the pins for eyes with some needle nose pliers might help them not fall out as easily (still wouldn’t recommend giving them to an animal or child because of course they can still come loose, but just help them stay in a little bit better).

okay so, I have literally all of the yarn from dollar tree (some are just sooo cute) and I've collected all of the fuzzy/fluffy yarn, its adorable, but the quality is bleh ); if you pull too hard on the yarn, the fuzzy part just rips off, so you'll have to be gentle and try not to tighten your work. but overall, if you don't wanna spend more than $10 on yarn, i feel like dollar tree is worth it.

Awww amazing plushie *_* Tip for eyes - you can also use a glue. It's not a perfect way how to make plushie's eyes unmovable, but at least you will be not much worry about drop it somewhere. For my first plushie I used just a black yarn (make a circle or "draw" them by needle lmao)

Hi, so I’ve been crocheting little simple things like double crochet can’t count or follow any pattern ever I’m dyslexic and I find it extremely difficult but my gram passed away 10 years ago and through the years I have gifted and shared yarn and I made everyone and their mother a scarf or blanket, well I moved back in with my grandpa who has lived alone for the last 10 years and we’ve been cleaning his 7bedroom home that where full of patterns knitting needles and finally yesterday I found crocheting hooks and more yarn like from Mack in the day when they had ames before Joann fabrics and I got really excited because for anime Boston I couldn’t find a hisee growlithe anywhere so I started making one but it came out more as a tiger or something, I was wondering after finding an item that my gram had started and stuffed but hadn’t finished and I was like ya know what I wonder how to crochet a plushy with such a tight spiral your video was the first I clicked and noticed you crocheting and it looks exactly like the tight spiral that my gram was using and I don’t want to undo her work but maybe make my mom or my kids something out of what “nana” left I’ve found doilies and all sorts of finished or started and stopped projects that I want to give or keep or repurpose with her design but seeing how you started do you make a chain and do a single stitch back into it and instead of flipping back and forth just go in a spiral? I’ve always used double stitch after a chain but maybe single stitch is how to get it tighter looking? I’m not sure, so I wanted to ask I know you don’t have a pattern but if you maybe could explain to me I would appreciate it or a video with just how you start and I can figure it out from there because I think it’s the starting I have a problem with

For the push pin eyes you could add hot glue as a back tack so if you want to show people they can hold it or your can hold it so it doesn’t poke you or hurt you.

I buy the cheap pillows from Walmart and use the stuffing in them. I find the "proper" stuffing is expensive. I don't know if anyone else does this.

I usually go the even more economic route and just use old pillows that have gotten too lumpy 😅 If you pull the stuffing apart with your hands a few times, it becomes smooth again. If you don't have an old pillow, buying a cheap pillow, like you do, is the way to go imo. The stuffing is usually the exact same as hobby stuffing, just infinitely cheaper 😄
