I am 6 months in to my job, never had any experience before this and the firm gave me a chance. I hope they never regret it because it is honestly the best job ive ever had. The hustling of working these cases and the office vibe as well as people ive met is just awesome. I do sometimes feel lost but now im someone that new people go to ask questions which is mind blowing. Im so glad i saw your video and applied to this job, very grateful to you for showing me this path.

Hi. I have an interview for a legal assistant tomorrow, can I ask for tips for my upcoming interview? This will gonna be my 1st interview
@lifewithicie2 ай бұрын
@@LovingMommma of course!! My biggest tip would be to have confidence when you go into the interview and trust the process. Also remind yourself that if it does not work out, it was still a learning experience and there is a better opportunity out there for you. You got this and good luck! ☺️ feel free to DM me if you have any other questions on IG

Icie, I really appreciate your content. This video was so encouraging. Here’s my story, I was a Legal Assistant for 8 years and I agree the first 6 months were rough because you’re learning. I recently left the company and went to a new company working as a Financial Management Specialist. The office is so toxic because of the manager. She beat me up for every mistake and it’s no training. You learn as you go. Now I am looking to go back to a firm as a Legal Assistant.

Also law firms, especially in California, look for Paralegals that have a certificate. You can take schooling for this & it takes a year to complete. You get a better chance to get hired & perhaps s higher pay.

I am on my 3rd month as a junior legal assistant with no experience. My first cry was not because the job is hard, but how other co-worker treats me. Never appreciative, never made me feel welcome or wanted at the firm. I am still ok because my boss is amazing and a really good person and I dont want to mention how that co-worker treats me because it's her bestfriend. Im just stuck and dont know what to do, I love my job and your video just helps me keep going. ☺️

I'm looking into becoming a LAA, would you say that overall, the job is very repetitive/boring? That is what a lot of people I've been talking to have been warning me about.
@lifewithicie4 ай бұрын
@@kylie2800 hmm I’m not familiar with the term LAA specifically apologies but if you’re referring to a legal assistant, I would say it comes down to experience and also which department you are in because it will vary. Obviously the more proficient you get at something, there will be aspects that will be habitual/ repetitive but I think that’s common in any job over time :)
