No, I totally understand that but I would say that she has always wanted to do country music. In 2017, her album, lemonade had a song called daddy lessons and it was a very much country and throughout her entire career, she has always and I mean always made it clear that she was southern. Often I think people forget that she’s always expressed interest in country just because the songs that she did do in the genre didn’t do well

Problem with the viral stuff is that it is usually a flash in the pan - grabs attention today but tomorrow is gone. It is like songs like Mambo #5 were in the 90s - yeah it grabs attention can be successful but it is usually gimmicky and the artist usually fades away quickly. I think people are trying to get things to go viral as a shortcut to get attention but a good band will draw an audience.

What’s cool is a lot of these viral moments are created outside of the Nashville machine which gives them somewhat of a unique vibe but unfortunately I feel like the quality of a lot of these songs/productions just isn’t great. Probably because they’re recorded in bedrooms with baby artist budgets (which hey I totally get recording music is expensive) but that was the one good thing about majors 20 years ago allowing a new artist like dierks Bentley to date the town finding his sound as a writer then go in and record an amazing record. Unless a big producer and label hop on early now (which seems rare) a lot of these new artists just don’t seem to have the quality to become something timeless imo

What country radio station are you listening to that isn't playing mediocre pop songs already? The thing about Tucker that I can’t get past is he’s signed to Morgan’s manager’s wife’s label. I’m sry but that just feels like a conflict of interest, like she’s actively planning to turn him into Morgan 2.0. 🥴 It’s like he’s putting on a Morgan Halloween costume by copying his look, sound, and vibe, and doing what has worked before, instead of actually wanting to be original and forge his own path. Even the song title is similar to Morgan’s. Wine Into Whiskey vs. Wine Into Water 🧐 And the shirt lifting has got to stop. He’s a good looking guy but he ruined it for me with all the cringe/douchey stuff he’s doing 🤦🏻♀️ I guess my rant is done lol
